"Roof work has been good so far. Drywall and bathroom work quality was very poor, with amateur level mistakes. Regular drywall was used above a fireplace, not fire rated drywall. When pointing out it was not up to code they tore it down and redid it correctly. The wrong bathtub was purchased and installed. It turned out the bathtub we wanted was a special order. Instead of stopping and asking us what we wanted to do, they bought and installed a completely different bathtub. The correct one was then ordered and eventually installed. Used galvanized steel on tub hardware install, leading to brown water on first operation, the plumber that fixed their work said the only way that was possible was if it was re-used from another job. Bathtub surround tile job was poorly done and did not match quality shown on Facebook, no spacers or edgers used. Not even a month later and grout is cracking and coming out. Overall a very poorly done, rushed job."

We were responsible for selecting and purchasing the installed tile - Doug provided a square foot estimate for the project to use when ordering the tile from the retailer. Once the project started he worked very hard each day and did high quality work. As with most renovation projects, surprises always pop-up. Doug was always prepared and proposed the best solution for the issue (like fixing the previous homeowner's do-it-yourself mistakes). Once the framing and pouring of the base / pan was done, he got to the part of the job where he excels: skilled tilework. He took his time; used superior materials, laser leveled the tile installation; and made sure the installed look of the selected tile was just right (for the floor, shower and ceiling). Then he put the room back together (including replacing baseboard and reinstalling towel racks, etc.) and professionally cleaned-up the room and surrounding area. A high quality job."
