"Mitch was extremely responsive and professional. He completed our work in time for us to move in, but did not sacrifice the quality. He listened to what we wanted and stayed within our budget. Overall great work and will be hiring him to do more work for us in the future."

We are a small owner-operated company based in the Fox Valley. We have almost one full year in full time remodeling, as well as 2-3 years of part time experience before then.

Beginning in 2017, Happy Home Contracting, LLC has been offering interior and exterior residential remodeling services to homeowners and real estate investors. We are fully insured, licensed dwelling contractor by the state of Wisconsin. We are investors and flippers ourselves, who specialize in buying broken houses and completing extensive remodels to create high end rentals. We offer remodeling services to homeowners looking to transform their home into a new vision. Between 2017 and 2022, we flipped 18 houses and completed dozens of remodeling projects for customers. Roofing, Siding, Windows and Doors, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Walls and Floors, We have the experience and expertise to make your vision a reality.

"Everyone who worked on my project were subcontractors. The contact person’s contracting company did not do a good job, then tried 3 times to fix it by remudding and painting. It truly was unacceptable drywall installation. This doubled the length of the project. Corners were cut, critical steps were not done. I was left finally with a finished project done correctly by another drywall installer. It was not a pleasant experience, and I do not recommend them."

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

Yes, insulating your cold water pipes is a great way to prevent condensation. When warm, humid air meets cold pipes, condensation forms, which can drip and cause moisture issues in your home. Pipe insulation acts as a barrier between the warm air and the cold pipes, keeping condensation at bay and helping you avoid potential problems like mold or structural damage.

The best time to insulate a garage ceiling is when the weather is mild and dry. That means it shouldn’t be stormy, snowy, or raining, and the temperatures should be comfortable. Ideally, you’ll insulate your garage ceiling in the fall, before winter hits. Not only will you be the most comfortable, but you’ll also likely see the greatest energy savings heading into the colder weather with a newly insulated garage.

Every exterior wall in a house should have insulation. Municipalities require that new construction homes come with adequate insulation to handle the local climate. The state or local building code lays out the minimum insulation requirements. Interior walls seldom have insulation. Exceptions include interior wall insulation for sound dampening or temperature control of specific rooms.

The easiest way to cover your HVAC ducts during construction is to use painter’s tape to affix plastic sheets over your vents and air returns in the area of your home where construction will take place. Keep in mind that closing off a portion of your system can put strain on your blower motor and air handler, so either shut the zone off or shut your system off while construction is underway. If you shut the zone, you can also hang plastic sheets over doorways to separate the construction area and keep dust contained.

Insulating windows with plastic works, but it can be time-consuming, and the end results can—and often do—end up lacking in aesthetics. Window film and caulking your windows to make sure there are no drafts are two options that increase the energy efficiency of your home in a low-cost way. Plastic can be a good strategy while you consider alternatives.
