AQUA-TECH PLUMBING

Mike arrived sometime between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. as scheduled and performed the work as described above.  I believe the work was done well.  My beef is with how long it took and how much time I was charged for.   With his level of skill and experience, I believe this work could have been done in half the time with the same level of quality.  He was done before 12:30 p.m., i.e., less than four hours, which included over 15 minutes spent outside at his truck (writing up the invoice?) and the trip to go buy a faucet, but I was charged for a full four hours.   I had to pay for the time it took to go buy a new run-of-the-mill faucet, which I had no problem with (although don't most plumbers have these on hand?), but turns out he also billed me a trip charge so I feel like I was double-billed.  $500 to unclog a drain and replace a drain pipe is a bit much.   I just feel like he milked it.

This was extremely poor work. The removal of the tile shower went well. The first installed shower unit was a 3-piece unit, and the wrong color. Mike, the plumber had installed this w/o owner verification of the correct model; we were shocked to find this installed. He then had to remove this, and in the process, did significant damage to drywall and woodwork and doors throughout the house, as he apparentely dragged the removed unit and replaced unit by himself from the garage to the 2nd floor in our home. The entire process of removal, installation of the wrong unit, and installation of the right unit consumed over 3 months, of which that time we could not use the shower. He did pay for another contractor to repair the damage he caused.

$95 of the cost was the trip charge.
