"I had tried everything to get rid of pet stains on my carpeting. I wasn’t sure if anyone could get rid of them but I decided to give EnerGreen a try. They were courteous and professional and I was ecstatic to see the stains gone after they finished. I would recommend them without hesitation."

"Trever redid our countertops and did some flooring work for us. After talking with him over the course of the project I learned he is very passionate about this work. He did amazing at making my vision of my kitchen come to life. His business is newer but he has been doing this work for years. I hope he can continue to grow it as he is reasonably priced, friendly, and experienced. The job he did was beautiful and I couldnâ t be happier I chose Dutch Renovations for my home."

"Jodi sent 3 girls which all knew what they were doing and each one took on a different part of the house. They were very professional and very curious. The work they did was outstanding! for the most part. I have wood floors throughout  and when they finished they looked better than when I did them (and I'm quite fussy about the floors). Like I said, they all knew what they were doing so they were in and out in 2 hours which now leaves me the rest of the day to do things outside. The lady that cleaned the bathrooms didn't do much. Toilets, tub and counters were all clean, however the vanities (which were dusty in both bathrooms from powder) were never cleaned, trash throughout the entire house was never emptied or removed, which I would have thought was part of the job. I guess all in all, I can clean a house better than they did and will not have them return."

"They were extremely thorough in their work, friendly, gave suggestions and respected boundaries. Iâ m very pleased with Varelaâ s and will be hiring them again. I thought our shower stall needed to be replaced but they had the right tools, products and elbow grease to get the job done, Iâ m really truly amazed and happy with their work!"

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

Yes, options like MDF or polyurethane require less upkeep while maintaining style.

The answer to this question depends on how large the room is and how much experience you have stripping and waxing floors. It will take at least 24 hours to strip the floors, then you must allow time for drying, waxing, waiting for them to cure, and, finally, buffing them. Since you likely will not be working for the full 24 hours, it is safe to say that this is a two- or three-day job.

Yes, vinegar and water can strip wax. For a DIY wax stripper, mix about a quarter cup of vinegar with one gallon of warm water. You can also mix one cup of cream of tartar, one cup of white vinegar, and one gallon of water. Before using it on a large area of the floor, you should test it in an inconspicuous place to make sure it works like you want it to.

The best solution for mopping floors depends on the type of floor you have, but a good all-around or multi-purpose DIY floor cleaner is 2 cups of warm water, 5 to 10 drops of liquid dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This is safe to use on tile, laminate, wood, polished concrete, vinyl, and more, as it’s relatively neutral and lacks caustic and abrasive chemicals that could be harmful to children and pets. You can also use a multi-purpose commercial cleaner, but make sure to follow the directions for safety.

To properly maintain natural stone surfaces, use pH-neutral cleaners for regular cleaning and avoid acidic substances that can cause damage or etching. It is also important to reseal the surfaces periodically, especially for porous stones, to protect the finish, maintain appearance, and ensure longevity.
