Reliable and Professional Dane & Sauk County Detailer If you’re looking for a mobile detailer in the Dane & Sauk county areas that will deliver amazing results for both qualities of service and customer service, then you’re in the right place. We’re not here to brag (maybe we’re bragging a little bit), but our quality of service and professionalism is far beyond what others detailers and car washes typically offer. Your experience with us will be seamless and hassle-free. You’ll choose a date and time for us to detail your car and we’ll deliver the results. We’ll show up on time (if we’re running late we’ll let you know). I also work out of my house so dropoff arrangements can also be made. We don’t miss the details (but if we do, we own up to it and fix it). Our customer service is awesome; we’ll answer all your questions, respond in a timely manner to your emails or phone calls, and walk you through the process step-by-step so you always know what’s going on with your car. Our services aren’t for everyone. If you’re more interested in a cheap and quick car wash or detail, then we’re definitely not the people to contact.

Currently we have 6 full time employees but are able to bring in extra workers that have worked for us in the past & are just as skilled & efficient as are the other employees. The company was started by my father John & a business partner when I, Chris was about 15. I have worked full time for the company since I was 17 years old & am now 36. I took to it right away & was very good at it. I look at it as more of an art-form that just a job to do & I take great pride in the work we do. Because when you can take a 100 year old piece of stone floor that has been scratched, gouged & had all of it shine & luster just obliterated, then refinish it to make it look like it was just polished in the factory & has a mirror shine that you can read the wattage of the light bulbs in the ceiling off of, you know you've done your job well & it gives you that sense of pride from a job well done. Everyone that has worked for us who came to us without a background in stone restoration, I trained myself & held them up to the standards that I hold myself to. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I always do my utmost to make sure that every part of a floor, wall, counter-top, vanity, tub surround, stair, baseboard or any other piece of Marble,Granite,Terrazzo,Travertine or natural stone is refinished to the best that it can be. We do sub-contract. We are fully insured. Some companies & corporations require we carry a minimum of several million dollars in insurance to be able to do stone restoration work at their facilities & we do have that coverage. Depending on the size & scope of the job, sometimes a deposit is required before we can begin work. Because of the type of work this is, there are no special promotions offered unless arrangements are made between the company owner & the customer. There are no options for financing. Payment is due either upon completion of work or within no more than 30 days of completion of work.

Buffing and Polishing questions, answered by experts

Like most stones, limestone should be sealed. Its porous nature makes it prone to staining from spills, and the iron in the stone can cause it to turn yellow when exposed to moisture or harsh chemicals. Proper sealing can help prevent these problems and protect the stone's appearance.

A floor polisher won’t remove scratches from a wood floor, but the polish can fill in surface scratches and make them all but invisible. If you run your fingernail gently over the scratch and it doesn’t catch, chances are that the polish will hide it. If it does catch, you might want to have your floors fully refinished, and you might need to have a professional floor sander in for particularly deep scratches. When in doubt, call a professional floor polisher to determine if polish will fill in your scratches or if you need more in-depth services.

DIY repairs can address minor issues like small scratches but may not effectively fix larger problems like major cracks or stains. Professional repair ensures proper materials and techniques are used to restore the countertop fully.

You generally cannot change the color of the natural stone, such as making granite countertops darker or lighter. Some people claim that certain chemicals will lighten or darken granite, but those will damage the stone and not provide uniform, expected results, so it’s better not to try. Similarly, some people ask whether they can stain over granite. Granite is beloved for its stain-resistant finish, so you probably won’t get the best outcome if you try to stain over granite to make it darker.

Instead, consider honing, painting, or applying another material over the top of the granite to make it appear darker.

Standing water can lead to surface discoloration if your granite countertops are improperly sealed. However, it’s possible to remove hard water stains with a baking soda paste. Take more care with acidic liquids, such as fruit juice or red wine, which can leave more permanent stains. That’s why it’s so important to reseal these surfaces regularly.
