"I had to have my carpet removed from my apartment. She did the work I asked her to. She removed the rug, put the furniture back, took the rug out to the dumpster, and cleaned up everything. I was very impressed with her work. It looked so much better after she had it done."
"The company was very professional and they worked with me to include the project within my construction financing, which was very helpful. I changed the date of the appointment several times and they were very accommodating. The tub and sink look like new. I would suggest though that you have them come in prior to doing your final renovation as we had to remove the grout around the sink to ensure full coverage of the sink. This had nothing to do with them. I just had my steps in my bathroom renovation out of order. "
"Mr. Sullivan brought an assistant and they cleaned our Appleton 2-story Victorian home's gutters and repaired a spot damaged by an ice dam in last year's severe winter. They were pleasant and professional. I would recommend them for this work and will be calling them soon for another gutter cleaning. "
"Tim was very prompt in getting back to us and getting out to the house to get us a quote. This was a new house that we had purchased that we were getting cleaned prior to moving in. The move was local and we have had other carpet cleaning companies in the area clean our carpets and tile. We had never tried Fox Valley Cleaners and decided to give them a try after reading reviews on Angie's list. All I can say is WOW... these guys did an outstanding job. Tim and Allen came out the day of and explained what they were going to do; they were punctual, even called to let us know they would be on time. They walked through the house with us and pointed out stains they would try to get out and others that they thought was no chance, but would give it a try. They took exceptional care of everything when bringing in their equipment /hoses. We ended up going with the rotovac service on the carpets. The carpets looked good as new when they were done. Even more impressive than the carpets was the tile cleaning; night and day difference in the grout cleanliness when they were done. The cushions on the dining chairs also looked great. They started at 8:00AM and were at the house until about 3:00PM. We would definitely hire them again. "

"I purchased a big deal for interior design work. I submitted photos of room, measurements, and information about the room. They then requested a drawing on graph paper of the room with "detailed dimensions", and the process just became too difficult. I would not recommend having interior design work done by someone who cannot come into the home and see the space. This may work for some people but just did not work for us. I requested and received a refund for purchase. "
"After looking for 1 year for a contractor, we looked at Angi. We were connected with Antonio of A&M General Construction, and we walked around the house explaining what we wanted. As we explained our plans, he asked questions but never said we won't be able to do that or change our minds to do something we didn't want. We had them remove four windows and replace 3 of them them were able to get exactly the windows we wanted. Took out two walls and opened up the room. Opened a walkway into the bathroom. Moved an intake vent. Painted, layed tile, converted bathtub into shower. We were very happy with the results. My wife loves her new master bedroom."
Repair Bathroom Tile questions, answered by experts
Bedrooms and living rooms generally cost the least to remodel. Of course, the project price will depend on what you're planning to do to the space and the cost of the materials you choose to incorporate. Prices are typically lower than those of other remodels because major plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work isn't often part of remodeling these rooms.
The most expensive part of adding a bathroom will always be the wet areas, such as the toilet, sink, and shower. Considering a half bathroom won’t have a shower, you’ll save quite a bit of money there versus adding a full bath with a shower or tub. Using qualified professionals is a requirement when dealing with plumbing and electricity, so while you can do some of the addition yourself, leave these two to the pros.
Small bathroom renovation costs don’t have to break the bank. A $5,000 budget is realistic, provided you're not adding luxurious fittings or making complex layout changes. Changing the layout is the most costly aspect of renovating a bathroom. So if you keep the layout, do some of the job DIY (within your skillset), and use relatively affordable fixtures and accessories, you should be able to stay within your budget.
A frameless shower door installation can increase your home’s resale value because of its modern aesthetics and luxurious look. Not only do frameless shower doors provide more space in the bathroom and enhanced utility and functionality, but this upgrade can promote a luxurious user experience. If you’re looking to sell your home in the near future, this could be a good upgrade for the bathroom.
Different bathtub materials have various advantages and disadvantages. Cast iron and copper are considered the most durable materials because they are dense and resistant to damage from scratches or dents. However, cast-iron tubs are heavy, expensive, and may not be suitable for upper floors. Copper offers unique benefits but requires regular chemical treatment to prevent a patina from forming, making cast iron a less maintenance-intensive option. Porcelain is a good second choice for durability. For those on a budget, acrylic is a popular option, though it is less durable.
