The caregiver said the Sunrise Pest Control employee, Robert, arrived on time and did a thorough job. Robert called me after he finished. He was willing to spend the time on the telephone explaining the situation to me and gave me a very honest and informative report of the ant infestation. Robert wrote: and quot;Sprayed c.s, perimeter, drilled and injected, saw a lot of frass in c.s. some dead c.a., no live activity, not too much damage in woodand quot;. I gave my credit card number to Sunrise and they charged the account for the correct amount as they said they would and then they sent a PDF of the receipt the next day. Robert found no termites, just black ants. Robert suggested I get a bi-monthly contract but I thought we would have the house sold soon so I did not make a contract. Had I made a monthly contract with Sunrise there would not be a problem with the ants any more. I was not at the house again for 1 year until March, 2014, when I had to go to Port Angeles, WA. I stayed in the house for a week at that time and I did not see any ants anywhere in or around the house. We got a new realtor and listed the house again in March of 2014. I went back to Louisiana on March 6th, 2014. The new realtor had a new buyer who had the house inspected. The new inspector claimed there were black ants in the crawl space and recommended we get the house inspected by a structural inspector. I called Sunrise to have them treat the house. They said since the house was not treated for 6 months they would have to charge for an initial treatment, about $320.00. The lady I was talking to suggested that I not get the house treated until the report was back from the structural inspector and after that we would take it from there. I thought this was very fair. The real estate agent got an inspector to check out the house. He reported that there were ants in the house but there was no structural damage. I told the real estate agent I had an account with Sunrise and that I will call them and make an appointment for them to treat the house but the real estate agent told me she had an exterminator who charged less and she used them regularly. I let her handle the problem. I personally I would call Sunrise again because the Robert and the office personal seemed like they were professional and were willing to explain everything to me on the telephone and sent me a written report since I was not there in person and when I did call them in April 2014 the person who answered the phone did not do a hard sell but rather suggested that I have a structural inspection before doing the pest control treatment.
