I called John and asked him to make a few minor repairs to my home in Sunland. If John was moving slow and even took a lunch break it should have been no more than 2 hours worth of work. Instead John sent me an invoice for 10 man hours. Apparently it took two men 5 hours to complete the list. John was asked to replace the key under the mat but after 3 separate visits by my Property Manager no key was ever found. I texted John asking him where the key was, he said his men would have left it and that he was not a thief. I never accused John of being a thief so not sure why he made that comment. After my text he called the my Property Manager, well known in Sunland, and berated her over the phone. John is very unprofessional, I do not recommend him, stay clear. There are better people to call on. Check out all the 1 star reviews on Yelp, don’t make the same mistake we did.

"This is another example of a Customer who wants the world for nothing, and then when he gets a reduced bill, pays it, and then proceeds to cut your throat on more than one platform. My Company has always underpromised, and overdelivered. We addressed a badly damaged corner in the drywall in the Master bath, primed, textured, painted to match, and did not charge him for the gallon of paint required. We had to pull back our continued rat abatement services in order to give him an acceptable discount. Whatever made this man so bitter happened long before we were so unfortunate to serve his needs. He was even too cheap to provide a lockbox for the keys. God knows I have no regrets. Glad to get this one off the books. [Member Name Removed] is a very vindictive person."

I am newly retired and new to the area. I have been looking for a handyman. When I called Mr. Madden to replace a bad storm door, he came over within 24 hours to look at the job and told me exactly what he was going to do. I had him look at some other minor issues, and within a week, it was all finished. Everything was not only finished but also finished well. I highly recommend Mr. Madden and plan to use his services again.

The painting job was sloppy. Paint drips dried on the edge of overhanging cabinets and cabinet paint was left on the wall. After installing the new hinges, the cabinets did not close. In trying to resolve the issue, the contractors splintered the edge of a cabinet door. Ready Remodel's response was to accuse us of having unrealistic expectations, getting agitated with us over the phone. We had to hire another contractor to fix the problem and finish the job. Strongly recommend against hiring this company.

"The Customer bought the wrong hinges, and refused to take them back and get the right ones. He was rude to me and my painting subs, and when I asked if I could send them back in to address any issues, he again accused me of not caring. He screwed us out of final payment, which is a regular trick of theirs. Friends of theirs informed me that this is how they run."
