Customers say: Quick response

"Awesome finish work to our tiny remote cabin! Ryan and crew installed our LVP flooring in just a few hours. He kept us up to date on the project with text and pictures, super helpful since we live in Seattle and had to work. His crew kept the construction site clean and the vendor he used for our cedar interior work was meticulous. Thanks Ryan!"

"Alex was right on time every time that we made an arrangement. He kept in touch by text very efficiently. He did the job very well and stayed at my house until the job was finished, about 6pm at night. He gave me a set price and did not charge by the hour. He cleaned up well after painting."

"We hired Juan when we purchased a home in Chelan and wanted to make some rennovations. Since we live out of the area, we gave Juan a key to the house and never had to worry about a thing. Jaun: took apart and remodeled three bedrooms, laundry room, main bathroom, master bathroom and large walk in bedroom closet. Each room had new paint, flooring, window treatments and light fixtures. Jaun communicated with us during the entire time and sent us pictures. His work is impeccable...absolutely beautiful. The next project was adding a shower to a jacuzzi tub. It turned out amazing and saved us lots of money from doing a masterbathroom total demo and reconstruction. Plus it looks really amazing!! Jaun is excellent at communication and kept us updated with everything he was doing. Since we are out of the area we always appreciated the pictures he took for us along the way. He cleaned up after everything he did. Nice to walk into a beautifully remodeled and clean home. In a nutshell, Jaun is fantastic and we would highly recommend him for any renovations. We look forward to working with Juan in the future."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Ceramic tile can be slightly less expensive than porcelain pavers. You can find outdoor ceramic tile for as little as $1 per square foot, but high-end options tend to cost the same as porcelain.

For professional labor and materials, it would cost between $6,000 and $28,000 to install 1,000 square feet of Saltillo tile flooring. If that’s out of your budget, you could consider laying the tiles yourself or choosing a less expensive type of flooring. For example, vinyl flooring costs just $2 to $7 per square foot, so for a 1,000-square-foot space, you’d pay $2,000 to $7,000.

There are no unbreakable rules of design, but experts recommend against using large tiles in areas with poor subflooring where they’re more prone to cracking, in areas where the floor isn’t entirely level, over raised areas or dips, and in bathrooms where budget is the primary concern. The size of your bathroom shouldn’t be a reason not to use large tiles; in fact, larger tiles, also known as slab tiles, can be a modern and sleek choice for bathroom floors and walls.

There are several tools that you will use together to install tiles. Four of the most basic tools needed in tile installation include a notched trowel for applying tile adhesive, a tile cutter or saw for cutting tiles to size, tile spacers for creating the appropriate amount of space between tiles, and a grout float for applying grout.

Yes, you can tile over existing shower tiles, but it's better to remove the old tiles first for the best results. Tiling over existing tiles requires a clean, level surface and proper adhesion. If the old tiles are in good condition, you can roughen the surface to improve adhesion. However, removing the old tiles ensures a smoother, longer-lasting finish and prevents potential issues down the line.
