"I could not be more pleased with Joseph and the work he performed. I needed an existing patio to be replaced due to tree roots which impacted drainage towards the house foundation. After 5 bids, I decided to go with Joseph due to his competitive bid and demonstrated expertise. "Sione and his crew worked incredibly fast to pull of this project in under 2 days. I appreciate how responsive and prompt Sione was at every stage of the project. They did a nice job completing the work by removing the existing concrete that was incorrectly installed and replacing it with properly layered gravel, rebar, and concrete. We still have some drainage issues but Sione cautioned us about the issue that will cost more to repair. I'm fine with this because the real drainage problems were addressed (front porch puddle and pooling against house). I appreciated how Sione demonstrated how his crew would address the garage drainage problem throughout the day. Everything looks nice though there are a few patches where the aggregate finish isn't fully showing. Sione explained this is expected and will come with time. If you plan to use Sione (and perhaps most concrete contractors), make sure you clearly articulate what you want and ask about progress throughout the day. There were a couple issues that I learned about later in the day that I wish were explained earlier, but admittedly it wouldn't have changed the scope of work. I do recommend Jay Construction and would likely use them again in the future.

These guys are amazing! I had a long list of house repairs to be done, and I bought their package on Angie's List. Five men arrived when they said they would, and they worked all day until dark to get it all done, plus doing some things that weren't even on my list. I had the feeling that they are very trustworthy, and I felt completely safe having them here. I expressed my gratitude to them, and admired that they did everything so conscientiously and cheerfully. Not until then did they mention that they do so because of their Christian values. If everyone were like them..... ! Thanks a million, guys. PS: they really like chocolate chip cookies.
They tore out and replaced wood in balcony-type cover over front porch, repaired electric lighting along driveway and front walk, repaired downspouts, replaced rotted lightpost, and showed me items that needed attention in future work. I will call them again.

"We were referred to Matt/MBA Deck and Fence by a local lumber yard and were also able to see him on Angie's List. He was prompt in coming over to our home over a month ago and seemed knowledgeable about the various brands and types of composite decking materials. Unfortunately even after a number of texts exchanged we have yet to receive the quote now over a month past his visit. We can understand being busy and not able to bid at the time so the professional response would have been to inform us of that fact instead of indicating that he would quote- perhaps even offer later availability. Very disappointing especially since he received a glowing recommendation from a local lumber yard."

"Jose and Ray did an excellent job in restoring sections of our cedar fence around our backyard. When Jose stopped by to assess the old fence to give us a bid, he was focused, caring, and intent on doing the best job we could have. He paid attention to details, obviously knew what he was doing. Ray and Jose recommended quality materials, were professional and also happy to give us their best work. We had another bid which happened to be a little less, but Jose impressed us immediately with how much he cared about the project he was being asked to do. They arrived early each day, ready to do a full day's work. The challenge of a neighbor who hadn't cleaned up his side of the fence didn't deter them; they cleared the area without charging us anything extra, and while respecting the neighbor's property. They removed and hauled away old fence and gates, installed full 4x4 pressure-treated posts every 8 feet, 2 feet deep in concrete, and added decorative/ enhancing boards after checking that we wanted them for a slight additional fee. The project was completed in 2 days plus a few hours: 100 ft. length of old fence removed, 110 feet of 6 ft tall cedar installed, as well as three other sections of 6 ft tall fence removed and installed. It looks beautiful, is sturdy, and the gate latches are easy to operate. Jose and Ray are professional, easy to talk to, and we highly recommend them."
