"I hired Near Me Roofing Company to replace my Siding, shingle my roof, replace a rubber roof, and replace my gutters plus new . Everyone I dealt with was professional, courteous, responsive and knowledgeable. I am pleased with the work they had done. All was done in a timely manner and they cleaned all the debris and removed it. Near Me Roofing Company were wonderful and went out of their way to explain the work as well as following up with me. Small jobs welcome

"I was in a difficult situation time wise, Julio answered my call on a Sunday called and drove over to see the project in 40 minutes. He understood my situation and said he could do it. The job was done so beautifully by his team. The plants did not look traumatized, honestly my home looks like I always dreamed of. I m really grateful."

"Johnny and Cynthia went above and beyond for us. Unbeknownst to us, our property was in an area that required additional permitting from the county. The folks at Gaspar Services not only did the work but they also were instrumental in managing the permits and approvals that were needed for the project. They could have left us to deal with it but they did not do so and they stayed with us every step of the way. I can't recommend them highly enough. Plus - the work that was done was beautiful and they did everything possible to restore areas that had to be scraped, including replanting those areas with grass."

"Emiliano and his crew did an Outstanding job with tree/hedge trimming, yard and gutter clean up. They went up and beyond cleaning under all of the bushes and cleaning off the patio and putting the patio furniture back in place. I would highly recommend and hire Emiliano and his crew again."

"We are senior homeowners who need help with odd maintenance and moving jobs. Jose contacted me immediately when I asked for a quote - some of the other contacts never got in touch. He came to our home that day to see what we needed and assess the need - and then he patiently waited two weeks to do it, rescheduled because we were ill. When we finally did meet, he did an excellent job in a very short time. We are already talking to him about another job. If you need someone with good skills and a great work ethic to help you with essential jobs you can no longer do, call Jose."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

The EPA enforces hazardous waste laws and ensures people dispose of their hazardous waste responsibly. Depending on where you live, your state’s hazardous waste regulatory agency may also enforce these laws. Individually, it’s up to each household to properly dispose of their hazardous waste.

Lead removal can take a few days to several weeks, depending on the work needed, particularly if the lead is widespread and in hard-to-reach areas.

You should ask a few questions to ensure that your potential lead removal professional is experienced and qualified to handle lead-paint abatement safely, legally, and properly.

  • What are your qualifications and experience removing lead-based paint?

  • Are you licensed and certified to remove lead-based paint?

  • How do you test for lead paint?

  • What methods do you use for lead-based paint abatement?

  • What do you plan to do with the hazardous material when you remove it from the home?

  • Do you do replacement and painting work or removal only?

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

You may see specialty products for sale to remove lead dust, such as D-Lead surface wipes. But you do not need to buy a special cleaner just for lead dust. A regular all-purpose cleaner, like 409 or something similar, is sufficient for cleanup. Just make sure to follow the manufacturer's directions when using it and to dilute with water.
