"From the beginning, Husky Fence was easy to work with. They were responsive and always showed up on time (unlike any of the other companies I requested quotes from). Their quote was competitive. Phil asked a lot of questions to make sure I got what I wanted and him and his team put up a great fence!! Would definitely recommend."

"Cesar and his partner did a great job installing my fence and gate. They showed up at 8am and worked until the install was complete which was around 5. They worked through snow and rain to get it done. The fence looks amazing and will definitely use them again on any future projects. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a fence install or repair."

"Ruvim followed up promptly after posting my request on Angi. I had a small baseboard repair project and he completed the job quickly and for a fraction of the cost of other quotes I had received. He did a great job and He was neat and respectful. I would not hesitate to call him for other projects as needed."

Customers say: True professional

"I would definitely recommend Defeat Contracting to anyone looking for a fast fair construction project. I had them close in my carport and I could not be happier. The results are just what I had envisioned, and it was done in about three and a half days. We had to rethink some of the project and Remington took the changes to heart and we ended up with a beautiful outcome. Their work ethic was impressive, working hard each day and then leaving the site in great shape. Thank You Rem"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

You can use a few different tactics to prevent your deck gate from sagging. Aside from using strong, rot-resistant woods, introducing a diagonal element—such as a tension rod or solid piece of wood to act as a brace—across the gate will offer better support. You can also use rigid joists to prevent the gate from sagging.

A split rail fence is not typically considered among types of dog fencing. Many dogs are small enough to slip out between or under rails, and dangerous pests like coyotes can slip in. However, adding wire mesh to a split rail fence can add the security needed for dog safety without compromising the timeless look that makes the split rail style appealing.

One of the best alternatives to a snow fence is to plant a living snow fence of grasses, shrubs, trees, and crops like corn. Another temporary option is using hay bales to create a barrier to disrupt the wind flow, and cause snow to accumulate in specific areas. However, hay bales are not a permanent option, so keep that in mind when choosing what type of snow fence you should install.

One of the best features of composite fences is their long lifespan. You can expect your composite fence to last 20 to 30 years. It lasts long because it consists of recycled plastic and wood fibers. The plastic offers durability that wood alone can’t provide. It’s mold- and rot-resistant, as well as weather-resistant.

The decision to add a dog fence to your property depends on several factors. A fence can be a good investment for pet safety, particularly in areas with hazards like busy roads. It helps contain dogs prone to roaming or those with a powerful hunting instinct, It also prevents accidents and neighborly disputes if your pet likes to venture onto their property. Also, by installing a traditional fence, you will also gain privacy. Some local regulations may also require homeowners with dogs to install a fence.
