"Project: Repairs (Stone retaining wall) and restoration (driveway) My project was two parts due to an automobile accident in my front yard. First being removing spray paint and staining from my driveway. Wes was the second person attempting to do this and 100% he succeeded. The markings are gone. I am amazed at how well he restored my driveway to the way it was before the accident. Second was repairing the stone retaining wall that the vehicle plowed through. The work Wes and Scott did is solid. If need be the wall will again be able to stop a vehicle. The work was beautifully and quickly done. Wes even took the time to describe to me what he did to improve the structure and durability of the wall. Wes was very easy to work with and communicated well every step of the way. He explained everything that the project would take and his estimate was spot on. I would highly recommend WR Stoneworks for all your mason+ projects."

"lt was a large project requiring an excavator to level and fill in a pond and remove fencing as well as weeding, trimming shrubs, etc. Armando and his crew are professionals who work hard and did an excellent job in only two days. We have hired Blessed Land to do our future yard maintenance on a regular basis."

"They worked quickly and efficiently for what they were hired to do. Friendly, hard working, and professional. Beautiful when done. I would hire them again. My only complaint was taking care of plants that were removed from the garden to be put back in after new bed was built."

"Dillon is a talented operator, and very obviously dedicated to his craft. I had him level and rock my driveway to circumvent some mud/drainage issues, and he did a beautiful job. I have plans for some bigger projects in the future and will absolutely give him a call. He’s honest, thorough, fair, and does great work - highly recommend!"

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

If you’re looking at how to remove snow from solar panels, heat from the sun usually melts the snow within a few days. However, snow removal might be necessary for winter solar power production in areas with deep snow during the winter. There are brushes with telescoping handles and gentle heads to brush away snow. It’s best to stay on the ground if possible and avoid using tools that could scratch the surface of the solar panels, like a snow shovel or broom.

Removing snow from your roof can help prevent ice dams, but the best thing to do is address insulation issues in your attic. If you do decide to remove the snow manually, you should always use a roof rake rather than a shovel. You shouldn’t climb your snowy roof in any circumstance, and roof rake allows you to remove the snow from the ground or a ladder. For the best results, remove snow as soon as possible after it falls.

Rubbing alcohol may also remove ice from your driveway in a pinch. It has a lower freezing point than water, which expedites the unfreezing process. Pour 70 percent isopropyl alcohol into a quart or half-gallon spray bottle and spray it on your driveway. You do not have to dilute it with water.

Snowblowers come in three different sizes: first-, second-, and third-stage blowers. Each additional stage is larger with higher intakes, more powerful, and has more gear options.

A first-stage blower, also called a snow thrower, is usually best for snow 6 to 8 inches or below. Electric snow blowers are usually only available in this size. If you regularly get snow that’s well above six inches, consider a second-stage snow blower. If snowstorms dump 2 to 3 feet of snow repeatedly during winter, you need a third-stage snow blower to tackle it.

Using a snow blower can make removing snow easier if you have physical limitations and a large area to cover. Snow blowers can remove large amounts of snow quickly, which can also save you time. However, shoveling can be efficient for smaller areas with light snow. The method you use will depend on the specific situation and your preference. Of course, you can skip doing it yourself and stay out of the cold by hiring a snow removal company near you.
