"Mateo knew his products and understood our needs. He was able to help us make an informed decision. He was able to get us scheduled quick and put the right people on the job. The install crew arrived a week earlier than we expected. This was a good thing. Product had come in and the crew took about one week to install the Hardie siding. We figured it was a 2.5-3 week job. But this crew was good and fast. Done in one week! Jose’ led the crew and he does his best to help you decide on how trim prices and corners will come together. The siding turned out great but you can tell when there was a new guy doing the caulking. Most places had good, clean lines but some had finger smears wiping away the caulk. The crew ended up breaking 2 and losing 2 of our electrical junction boxes. We knew we were responsible for installing the exterior lights as it was written in the contract but this made it quite difficult and time consuming fixing their mistakes. The Hardie trim was covering these boxes and we needed to secure them to the house before a light could be installed. Took me 4hrs to replace 4 boxes working around the Hardie trim. Some of the boxes were also not secured but yet the installers trimmed over the box. Again 30 seconds to put a screw back in to secure the box would save the home owner lots of time. The crew was also ruff on our electrical plugs and we had to replace 3 of them as they broke the porcelain sockets. They had many power tools plugged into each outlet and over loaded the sockets. Easy fix but still more work for the home owner if a little care had been taken it could have been avoided. Over all we are happy with the siding and the install. DaBell did a great job communicating and had the work done ahead of schedule. Having a company that is able to get materials and labor together is tuff these days but they did what they said they would. Would have given them 5 stars had the electrical boxes just been secured before they put Hardie siding over them and not broke/lost the 4. show more

"Good Measures Construction have done quick jobs for my clients who are putting their homes on the market or just purchased a home and want to update the flooring and interior paint. Finally, it was time for me to personally use their services. They did a complete house remodel for me and our home turned out beautifully! They heard my vision and executed on all aspects from the primary bathroom to the kitchen. They added a countertop in my pantry which made it look like a Butler’s pantry and changed my high/low island to a full counter height island with additional cabinet space. David, Mark, and the rest of the crew had to deal with snafus in scheduling, but we were always on the same page because communication was top notch. I am a very particular client and the hardwood flooring had to be a certain color and I was unwilling to deviate from my vision. David did some research, was patient with me after my vetoing of a few samples but then he found MY FLOOR! and luckily, it was a good price range and only two weeks out versus my original choice which was months out and quite costly. I am very pleased with my flooring; it works perfectly with my paint color choices for the walls and cabinetry in the kitchen. They even built a wood deck for me! I love the interior, but I have to admit I did use my deck quite a bit this past summer. I highly recommend Good Measures Construction for small jobs and large jobs like they did for me. I definitely will use them again should I ever buy a new home and need to do some adjusting for aesthetic purposes. ;-P show more

"I rarely give 5-star reviews for anything (in fact, the team at Fine Design might be surprised to learn this is a 5-star review given how picky I am!). However, we have now used Fine Design for two large jobs - a primary bathroom and closet, and now the entire first floor of our home - and have been thrilled with the experience. We chose Fine Design out of a shortlist of 3 contractors for our bathroom/closet job. They were priced similarly to other mid-high-end remodeling companies, but seemed to deliver superior results compared with the others *and* offered in-house design services to ensure the vision and the execution matched. We've been very happy with the craftsmanship, quality, and aesthetics of the bathroom and closet. When we decided to get a quote for our first floor remodel, there was no shortlist: we were either going to use Fine Design this year or save until we could use them in the future. We're about halfway into that job now, and it's coming together with the signature level of quality we've come to expect from Fine Design. We're excited to see what things look like when the job is done, but already feel like we'll be living in a new home! I'd be remiss if I didn't explicitly mention one of my favorite things about Fine Design: every remodeling job comes with hiccups and unexpected/unpleasant surprises. I've consistently been impressed with the gracefulness of the team's recovery from these hurdles. When the underlying cause is outside their control, Fine Design is forthcoming about the issue they've uncovered, and often brings several options to the table to discuss (complete with a quote for each, if additional costs are required). If the underlying cause is due to a mistake on their part - which happens rarely but does happen in large-scale jobs with lots of moving pieces - the Fine Design team is quick to take ownership over resolving the issue, and consistently goes "above and beyond" to ensure customer satisfaction. There are only two reasons I'd choose a different contractor for future interior remodeling jobs: 1) Fine Design finally gets fed up with me and tells me I'm too difficult to work with. This would probably be justified, honestly. 2) Fine Design goes out of business. I sure hope neither of these things happen. I'll use them for all my South Sound remodeling needs - for as long as they'll let me - and wholeheartedly recommend them for yours, too.show more
