"I hired Andy and his crew to clean my windows this spring and I could not be happier. They did an outstanding job, my wife and I are extremely pleased. Great value for the service provided. I definitely be asking them to come back again when I need their services. I would highly recommend Andy and his company for their cleaning services. Very courteous and professional. "This is a family owned business. James came to the house and gave me a free estimate and informed me that he does do other projects as well. The prices are low compared to other cleaning companies I have researched and the service is outstanding. He went above and beyond on what was required and did not charge anything extra. James is very detailed oriented, was on time and finished in time. I will of course have a bi-weekly cleaning done and have asked Jamees to tackle other projects at my house. I am very impressed with his work ethic and sincere personality."

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Clean debris, treat for moss, and schedule regular inspections to prevent water damage.

You may become so frustrated with the look of moss on your roof that you contemplate whether to clean or replace your roof. Fortunately, you don’t have to go as far as replacing it. After cleaning the moss, you can use a chemical solution to keep it away. For further protection, trim branches that overhang the roof, as fallen seed pods and leaves on the roof allow moisture to collect, encouraging moss growth. Consider adding zinc-coated flashing to the roof, too. As rain washes across the zinc, it leaves zinc particles behind that inhibit moss growth.

In most cases, it is best to leave icicles on your roof and allow them to melt naturally. You should only remove them if they are heavy enough to cause damage to your home or pose a safety risk to people below. Attempting to remove icicles yourself can be dangerous, so if you are concerned about immediate damage, it is recommended to hire a professional. To prevent icicles from recurring, you should address the underlying cause, which is often poor insulation. Long-term solutions include improving your home's insulation or installing roof heating coils.

A professional roof cleaning lasts about a year on average, so it’s best to do it annually. This schedule helps catch any roof problems before they become extensive and helps prevent mold, moss, and algae from forming. If you live near the coast, annual roof cleaning will help prevent salt buildup on your roof. You can add professional roof cleaning to your yearly home maintenance checklist to ensure you never miss a year.

Chemical herbicides will kill moss permanently. The same goes with bleach water. However, moss can start growing again once a new layer of dirt and debris is caught in your sand in paver joints. Therefore, the problem is not about killing moss permanently, but ensuring effective prevention of moss regrowth.
