Small jobs welcome

I have always had a passion for trees dating back to my dendrology classes at Miami University. That passion has fueled many years in the arboriculture industry as a crew leader and climber. I'm happy to consult with you on your trees or shrubs and options to explore to preserve them for the long-term. Being an ISA Certified Arborist, I'm always striving to keep up with industry standards and grow myself.

My name is Jordan Wright, I was born and raised in Vermont, graduated high school from Brattleboro Union High school, and attend Castleton University now Vermont state University and played football there. I graduated with an undergraduate degree and a masters degree. I also currently still coach football over at the college. \n\nNow for the business! I have always had a passion for landscaping and working out doors! It wasn’t till I worked for the town of Brattleboro doing landscaping for them when I fell in love with mowing and the perfection that comes along with it! Fast forward to college I worked for a company local in Rutland! And man my love came right back! Fast forward to now! I am ready to take the big step of running my own company! Where our values are paying attention to the details, treating everyone like they are family, and leaving your lawn looking the best in the neighborhood! \nWith all that being said this marks the first step to achieving one of my goals!

"After an initial misunderstanding, they did a great job removing a dead sugar maple tree. They had equipment so the tree didn't even hit the ground when cut down. I would hire them again in a minute."

"Grant has handled numerous tree jobs for my family, most of them quite... ah... complicated. With every job, he was clearly thoughtful, careful, safe, and yet also remarkably efficient and thus fast. He knows his stuff, and we really appreciate the way he explains his thinking when he makes suggestions or offers options. Grant handled trees for us that posed a danger to our home, ourselves, and others- jobs that other tree people could not be bothered to take on. And since his pricing reflects the complexity of the job, we have always been very satisfied with the fairness of the invoices we receive from Grant."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

It’s possible, although a lot depends on the cause of damage and what steps you take. If the remaining parts of the maple tree are alive and not under attack by disease or pests, they can often be saved even if large portions of the maple tree have died. Frequent watering, careful pruning, mulch, and any recommended fungicides or insecticides can all help with survival.

The amount of time it takes for a tree trunk to rot depends on several factors, including the tree’s size, species, and environmental conditions. It can take anywhere from a few years to several decades for a tree’s trunk to rot. A tree stump, on the other hand, can take up to 10 years to disappear after it’s decayed naturally.

You can use a chainsaw, but it won’t remove the entire stump or root ball and is not a recommended method. It takes quite a bit of physical work to achieve and will likely dull or ruin your chainsaw. Instead, consider using salt, herbicide, light deprivation, boiling water, stump grinding, or burning to kill a tree stump. These methods allow you to kill a stump using minimal machinery and physical exertion.

Tree borers are difficult to control and remove once they make a home in your tree. However, with patience and determination, some methods can slow the damage or even eliminate the pests. But, once the damage is too much for the tree to handle, the only solution becomes removing it. Talk to a tree specialist early for the best chance at saving your tree.

Large, established tree branches won’t grow roots, but if you find a young tree branch that’s less than about a year old, you’ve got a shot. Put it in water or soil as soon as possible for best results. You’ll know the branch is viable if it’s about the thickness of a pencil and has some leaves or needles.
