Efflorescence can damage a concrete slab for two to three years. After that, it resolves on its own once the surrounding salts are gone.

Cost and age are two factors to consider when determining if you should repair or replace your concrete driveway. If your existing driveway is on the older side and the cost of repairs is 50% or more of its value, it might be worth replacing it. Replacing a concrete driveway when it's 20 years old and deteriorating in condition will save you from the cost of repairs that likely wouldn’t save it from replacement in a few years anyway.

Follow the cure time information on the manufacturer’s label or ask your concrete pro about when your concrete is fully cured. You can drive your concrete once it’s partially cured, usually around seven days after it’s poured. After one week, the concrete is strong enough to hold up to regular-size vehicles.
