Quality of work was really good and it came out looking nice. The problem was with the owner of the company Bill Bronner. At the end of the project as usual the contractor had moved on to another project and the finishing touches were slow and took forever to accomplish. Our problem is that we re-financed the loan to take advantage of lower interest rates and do more than what the insurance company was paying for to finish the house right. His countertop provider had a fire in their production line and burnt up our counters and the templates that they used to make them. They had to come back and re-measure and everythng was delayed at the end because of this problem and the fact that they took extra long replacing the burnt counters because of a backup of orders. This was totally beyond either of our controls. The problem is that Bill demanded final payment despite the fact that he hadn't finished the kitchen(and some other small details) The bank was unwilling to release the final funds (which was only the last 20,000) until the kitchen was finished. He was beyond p*****. He called my pregnant, on bedrest from the stress of the fire bringing on pre-term labor wife and screamed at her on the phone with plenty of profanity. I could hear it sitting next to her. I grabbed the phone and hung it up. He immediately called back and i told him that he could back off and call back when he could talk civil. He then said that he was going to come over and fight me in the yard If this isn't beyond unprofessional bordering upon lunatic, i don't know what the definition is....certainly some mental instability involved somewhere....Although the work was very nice, this more than made the overall experience bad. He never apologized for the horrible behavior to make things worse. Building work started on approx 10/10/10, by 10/15/10, Mr. Beugnies advised that there was a lot of water and additional drainage would be required. The cost of the project increased by $6,500. By approx 11/01/10, the foundations were complete and the slab was poured, then things started to slow down. By 11/16/10, all we had up was the framing for the walls. By the beginning of December we requested a meeting with Mr. Beugnies as we had seen little progress and we hadn't seen any builders on site. By mid-March 2011, the roof wasn't on the building and it wasn't until late March 2011 that the roof plywood was put on. The plywood roof was covered with tar paper, which blew off with the first wind. Then Mr. Beugnis proceeded to nail the torn pieces back on. It looked very unprofessional, and when I questioned it, I was told it was temporary. It ws never addressed. This was when we got a better look at the way the plywood was installed on the roof. It looked like not enough wood had been purchased and small strips (approx 6 inches wide) had been nailed on to the edges at the rear of the building. In order to protect the building, a large tarpaulin was draped over the structure, but it didn't cover the ends, so when it rains, the water drips through and has soaked the insulation installed underneath these areas. At the end of March I complained about the slab as it had heaved significantly, causing puddles to collect in either corner at the rear of the garage and because it hadn't been scored the slab cracked in random places. A drain had not been installed either. I asked an external company to review the work and they were not complementary. Basically, they advised the slab be removed and replaced. I questioned Mr. Beugnies if he had installed the 2 inch insulation under the slab, he said he had, but when I checked with the excavation company that helped lay the slab, they confirmed that Mike had requested they not install it. When I questioned Mr. Beugnies why he had told me he had installed the insulation, and not done so, he didn't provide an answer. Mr. Beugnies agreed to get the slab replaced by a reputable company, but never followed up. We had a request from the company Mr. Beugnies had rented a man lift from, to settle a bill that Mr. Beugnies had not paid. We could not help with that as we had already paid a significant amount of money to Mr. Beugnies. Mr. Beugnies last turned up for 1/2 a days work on 4/15/11, he then disappeared for 2 weeks, refusing to return phone calls or e-mails. As it stands today, after 7 months of building a 2 car garage, the roof is not complete and it’s of poor construction, so it needs replacement. We never saw the shingles. The concrete slab needs to be ripped up and re-laid. The electrics are not complete and the insulation has started to fall apart in areas, as to roof leaked into it during the recent rains. The sheet rock has not been installed, neither have the garage doors. We don’t even have the materials. We fired Mr. Beugnies 5/6/11."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/vt/stowe/changing-times-building-contractors-llc-reviews-6253814.htm"},"position":10}]}

The painting went very well. John Alden did such a nice job on a neighbor's house that I hired him to repaint our Cape Cod style house. The pressure washing and application of stain (Benjamin Moore) were completed in good time, with high quality finish on siding and trim. They took good care...
Everything was perfect from start to finish. Jerry Wusterhausen is knowledgeable and detail oriented. Did what he said from start to finish on budget and on time.

Concrete repair costs range anywhere from about $0.10 to $0.15 per linear foot to fill minor cracks, to about $6 to $14 per square foot to replace damaged concrete slabs. Repair costs vary widely depending on the size and type of work needed. For example, replacing 100 square feet of driveway will cost between $600 to $1,400, on average.
The average cost of stamped concrete is around $12 per square foot, but you might pay anywhere from $8 to $28 per square foot. The average 12-foot by 12-foot patio costs $1,730 on average. Your exact pricing will depend on the patio’s square footage, the condition of the area where you want to pour the concrete, the desired stamp pattern, concrete coloring, concrete grade, and local labor prices. Don’t forget to budget for extra costs like land preparation and additional concrete fortifications if necessary.
Depending on the cost to repair your driveway, it may be more cost effective to tear out and replace it with a new concrete driveway. The cost to repave a driveway ranges between $1,400 and $12,100, including removal of the old concrete. Contact a reputable concrete contractor for advice and an estimate. They may have a good reason for going with repairs or replacement after assessing your driveway. You may also have the option to resurface your driveway or pave over it without taking out the existing one.
It’s possible to create stamped concrete yourself, but we don’t recommend it and it’s often not cost-effective. It’s easy to mess up the pattern of a stamped concrete patio or walkway, leaving you with an unsightly home exterior rather than the elegant solution you wanted. Any mistakes made during the ground leveling and concrete pouring process will also increase the risk of cracks forming on your concrete. Additionally, buying enough stamps to get the pattern in before your concrete cures can cost as much as hiring a professional to do the work for you.
Concrete contractors typically charge anywhere from $6 to $14 per square foot. Cost factors include job size, site prep, base material, accessibility, your location, concrete finish, and concrete thickness. Removal of existing concrete, asphalt, deck, pavers, and grass will cost anywhere from $1 to $6 per square foot. Homeowners can often save money by removing and disposing of existing pavers, decks, and grass. Breaking up and hauling away concrete and asphalt is difficult and time-consuming without the proper equipment and may be worth having the pros do that work.
