"Overcharged by WAY too much. The hydrostat charge was $862.90, and they installed a different brand than was on the invoice. The cost on Amazon for that unit is $188. Taco Zone Valve charged $745.56: valve on Amazon: $134.00 Same with other charges $3609.80 total. Less than 3 hours labor x 2 guys... who showed up late in the day when they scheduled for the morning."

"During the heat dome days we found out our air conditioning needed recharging. They insisted on up front payment (first red flag) then quoted over $800 to refill the units (2). They did not look for nor try to fix the leak but instead gave me a proposal over $3,000 to come back and fix the unit(1). I used them because they were the ones who could come the quickest. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. The DOE is phasing out AC units with SEER ratings that fall below 14 or 15. The exact minimum rating depends on your region. In the northern United States, new ACs must have a minimum SEER rating of 14, though you can still buy and install older systems as long as they were compliant when they were manufactured. In the southern and southwestern United States, you cannot buy or install older air conditioners with lower SEER ratings. The minimum rating is between 14.5 and 15, depending on the power of the unit.

Your AC might not cool after a power outage because of a tripped circuit breaker, blown fuse, or damage to the compressor or capacitor. If you notice your AC not working after a power outage, in most cases, the breaker has tripped or the system has built-in brownout and blackout protection. Reboot the AC by turning it off at the thermostat, resetting the circuit breaker, and waiting 30 minutes to turn the AC on again.
