Small jobs welcome

"Adam and his team did an amazing job on completing a backyard fence for my family. He was hardworking and detailed with the work. Kept me updated through every step of the way from the permit process, ordering materials and check-ins as the build was happening. Our fence is great! He also completed a custom railing and gate to attach to our existing deck. Will definitely be using we do it all again for future projects."

"During a mobile home move where very little was going right, we found ourselves in unexpected need of a welder. Our project timeframe was extremely limited, and local welders werenâ t able to do what was required for our situation. Though a couple hours away, Ian Smith responded quickly, worked with us, and did the job well. Corny as it may sound, he saved the day. Weâ re very pleased with his work, his prices and courteous customer service. We highly recommend his business."

"This crew is really great. They work well together as a team and are also great at communicating with their client. I have worked with many, many other construction crews over the years and as a woman I am always having to dumb myself down to the crew so that they don't get upset. This crew is so open and appreciative of client input and they never once talked to me like I didn't have a clue about what I was doing. They were always open to sharing ideas. In my eyes, this is the best quality a crew can have but fortunately they also do great work! They sided our complete home in metal which meant having to fabricate onsite and work with new materials, which they were completely up for doing. They did a great job with all of that. They also built all of our new decks and installed cable rail which looks amazing and feels like it will last for years and years to come. I would definitley recommend this crew. We plan on having them back in the future to complete other work we need doing!"

Welding questions, answered by experts

Professional metal fabricators typically charge around $70 per hour, but the total cost of your project will depend on several factors. The largest cost drivers are the size, complexity, and design of the project, as well as the price and type of metal used. A good way to estimate the total cost is to multiply the cost of raw materials by four; typically, one-quarter of the total goes toward materials and three-quarters toward labor. Your geographic location can also influence costs, as labor and material prices vary by region.

The best thing to cut metal pipe is a durable pipe cutter that is made for metal. You may want to measure the diameter of the pipes before purchasing a pipe cutter to ensure it will be able to cut your metal pipes. Opt for a heavy-duty option to cut through metal like steel or cast iron.

Yes, but you’ll need reliable steel-cutting tools and safety gear to get started. Shipping containers are typically around ¾ inch thick, so it’s entirely possible to cut through them, but experience and the right equipment are very important. When possible, try to get a container as close to the size you want it as possible.

To maintain custom or fabricated metal structures and extend their lifespan and appearance, perform regular cleaning, apply rust prevention treatments, and use protective coatings.

Yes, you can cut plexiglass by hand using a sharp knife or blade (utility knife, box cutter, glass cutter, etc.).
