"Pete did a great job. First of all, he came promptly and got the bats in the house, which was a big relief. But more importantly, he worked diligently at closing up gaps that other contractors had missed. He climbed, crawled, hung, or finessed his way all over the troubled areas and foamed shut opening that had probably existed for years. We had tried with other contractors on multiple occasions to seal the area around our chimney but Pete finally got it done. Bats had been an almost annual problem. Four years later, we have still not had a single bat in the house since thanks to Pete's work."

There aren’t legal toxicants for baiting possums, and it isn’t appropriate to use rodenticides designed to get rid of mice and rats. Misusing these toxicants can lead to fines or other penalties and harm other wildlife or pets in the neighborhood. Likewise, remove tree stumps, dead leaves, and other debris that attract insects to your lawn. Some plants will deter moles as well, including daffodils, marigolds, crown imperial, and alliums, like garlic or onions.

You should hire a wasp or hornet removal professional to get rid of an active or dormant hornet nest. Due to the feisty and dangerous nature of these pests, it’s best to hire a professional who has the proper skills, tools, and experience to remove a nest safely. Do not attempt to remove an active hornet nest on your own.

The easiest way to determine whether you have rats or mice is to see the rodent. Mice are much smaller than any species of rats. It’s similar to comparing your thumb to your entire palm. As a result, rat nests are typically larger, too. But if you can’t see any pests or find their nests, telling them apart may be difficult without a professional inspection.

If you find droppings from the invading rodent, take a glance before you clean them up. Rat droppings are larger and rounder than mouse droppings (which are pointed).
