"Their customer service is great! And Byron stayed in touch with me every step of the way to let me know what had been done, and what to expect next. They did a great job, left my place clean and tidy, and were finished in no time at all! I'd hire them again any time!"

"We love our cabinets! They look fantastic while remaining affordable. The friendly staff at AWD helped us from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable and gave us advice and tips when needed. They were receptive and patient with our ever-changing needs. Once we finalized our purchase, we received our cabinets within two weeks! The cabinets are very sturdy and the color is beautiful. The hinges and hardware are high quality. We are extremely pleased with AWD and would recommend them to any friends or family looking for good cabinets at a fair price."

"T he paint crew that came was competent, efficient, and very nice to work with. Their were some minor touch up needs that they didn't see but they were quick to fix when I asked. If we had a criticism it was that clean up of debris (tape, paint chips, etc., was just average but to us that was a small matter relative to the overall quality and value of their work. We would definitely hire them again."

"If I had known it would only take 7 days for cabinet refacing, backsplash, countertop, and flooring, I would have remodeled my kitchen years ago. The workers were very professional and did a great job. My neighbors and friends were impressed. Make sure you review all your options on tiles and countertop and see large pieces before you make up your mind."

"I was not pleased with their service and I won't use them again. He gave me a quote and by the end of the job he added $22.00 more to the bill because he said my deck took more things than he needed. I had to get them back because they got stuff all over my house. They did come get it off but the progress of trying to get stuff out of them was hard. I felt they could have done a better job with the deck. They were a little sloppy and I don't think they covered it well."

Kitchen Cabinet Refacing FAQs, answered by experts

Whether to reface or paint comes down to personal preference. Refacing strikes a convenient balance between being more affordable than replacing cabinets and longer-lasting than painting them. Furthermore, it allows homeowners to completely change the aesthetic of their cabinets and still paint them if they choose to. If money was no object, refacing is the better option. However, it’s more expensive and time-consuming than painting. Painting remains an effective way to revamp your cabinets, both in look and longevity, without spending a ton of money.

Routine cleaning with light detergents, avoiding abrasives, and timely addressing chips prolong the new surface appearance.

Properly maintained, resurfacing typically lasts 5-10 years. Factors like surface usage and exposure to chemicals affect longevity.

Kitchen remodeling can be as minor as a new coat of paint or as significant as a kitchen expansion to add more space. Some common things to include in a kitchen remodel include:

  • New appliances

  • Fresh flooring

  • New paint on walls or cabinets

  • Luxury countertops

  • New or custom cabinets

  • Lighting fixtures

  • New cabinet hardware

  • Changes in electrical or plumbing locations

  • New sink and faucet

Any of your garage shelves should be able to hold heavier loads, but it’s best to place heavier items on middle shelves. The only reason for this is to prevent injury—lifting heavy loads from down low requires squatting or bending over, which can lead to back injury, and lifting heavy loads off of high shelves in the garage can be especially dangerous if you drop them.
