"I contacted Ferguson Home Improvements to come out and help me get my house ready for sale. The owner was fabulous and had a very attention to detail approach to fixing the walls and nail pops in the ceilings. They left the house in pristine condition and everything looked brand new, it made me think twice about wanting to sell the house now that it is in such perfect condition. He also hung some ceiling fans to replace the old ones. When I move into my new home I will have Ferguson Home Improvements back to help me with my new projects what ever they are. They are by far the best home improvement company I have ever dealt with. "
"Cougar Development did an excellent job creating a living space out of an addition to a home built in 1918. The drywall work was excellent as was the placing of needed electrical outlets and ceiling fan/lighting. Closet space is extremely hard to come by in our neighborhood and Cougar was able to build a 30 sq ft closet that our growing family is able to take advantage of. This room was just a storage space and is now a usable living area after Cougar was done with it. The quality of work for the price I paid was amazing! I have already recommended Cougar to those in my neighborhood and will continue to do so!"
"Our furnace motor was making a loud noise, and Chris Suttles came by and diagnosed the problem shortly after I called. He fixed the problem that afternoon, and the furnace is now quieter than it's ever been. I asked him to come by the next week and give the furnace a tune-up and clean the heating ducts. When Chris opened one of the supply ducts, he found the inside of the ducts had a sticky, oil-like coating. I decided to replace the ductwork, and he replaced all of the ductwork in 2 days. The air coming out of our vents is now cleaner, warmer, and stronger."
"I love American Shield. I love American Shield. I love them. We have 2 homes; this home is 30 years old, our home in California is twenty years old and we have used them in both places. A, number 1, plus, plus!"

Yes, ceiling fans come with a few other features that help with function, style, and convenience. Multi-speed fans can give you specialized control over the airflow. Consider getting one with an integrated light to save ceiling space. Some ceiling fans come with a remote control that enables you to change direction without climbing a ladder. Of course, you can also consider installing a wall switch to enjoy that convenience.
There are many types of ceiling fans, from self-automated smart ceiling fans to outdoor ceiling fans that provide additional comfort to your patio. What you choose all comes down to function and personal taste.
Consider your ceiling height when selecting a ceiling fan. Rooms with ceilings under eight feet high will do well with low-profile ceiling fans, also known as flush-mount or hugger ceiling fans. If your home has cathedral ceilings or ceilings between 10 and 25 feet high, you’ll need a large ceiling fan with a heavy-duty motor to get adequate air circulation.
Most ceiling fans have a lifespan of anywhere from five to 15 years or 10 years on average. Just how long your ceiling fan lasts depends on the quality of the parts, how much it’s used, and how well you maintain it. A fan with a weak motor that runs on the medium setting nonstop is likely to have a shorter lifespan compared to a fan with a powerful motor that runs on the slowest setting for air circulation.
There’s no reason why you can’t install a ceiling fan anywhere in your home, such as in living rooms, offices, bedrooms, and dining areas. Most bathrooms already have ventilation and don’t need a ceiling fan. For safety purposes, avoid installing a ceiling fan where the blades will be less than eight feet from the floor, near bunk beds, or anywhere else they may hit nearby objects.
Keeping dust off fans can keep them working optimally and help keep dust mites or bacteria from building up. Dust fans weekly with a duster, microfiber cloth, old pillowcase, or vacuum attachment. You can also try spraying a clean fan with a store-bought dust-repellent product or making a DIY dust-repellent with water and a small amount of liquid fabric softener mixed in.
