"I hired a man to remove a old tin shed. He tore down the shed and threw all it's contents onto my cement slab and stated he would be back the next day to take to the dump. He never returned. I made the mistake to pay him in advance and was devastated. I had to save up the money to have it removed because of my limited income. It took 2 years, but I finally called "Under one Roof" and Kevin and his crew removed a dumpster of trash from my cement slab. They were through, reliable, trustworthy. I highly recommend them for their professionalism and care."

Customers say: Quick response

"Owner's workers were very knowledgeable and built a beautiful, sturdy deck. Owner did not build the gate correctly when doing this project on his own (door was to swing out instead of in per building inspection and door was not supported and dropped, causing it not to close. When asked to come back, it took approximately three weeks and a number of phone calls by us. Owner had poor communication throughout the project. After fixing the gate, owner did not clean up the work site. leaving pieces of wood, nails and shavings on the deck. Owner stated he was going to sand the rough cuts he made on the hand rail and owner left without sanding it."

"Cleaned out my basement and needed some remaining larger items removed. The gentleman removed all items and hauled the extra items from the curb and left nothing behind. He was also very well mannered! Very respectful and refreshing!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

The best way to remove lead paint is by wet hand sanding and removing all dust and residue with a HEPA vacuum. Professionals may also strip and scrape lead-based paint with a paint scraper. In some cases, you may choose to have a pro encapsulate or enclose your lead-based paint surface by covering it with a sealant or a new material. You may also choose to replace the material altogether.

Embarking on a kitchen demolition comes with its share of risks to keep in mind. Think of potential encounters with asbestos, sharp objects, and power tools—not to mention the peril of structures wobbling or unexpected plumbing surprises. And, of course, you will be surrounded by dust and debris throughout the process. All of the above makes safety gear necessary, or you can consider hiring a qualified professional.

No, you can’t place hazardous waste in a dumpster unless you specifically ordered a dumpster for hazardous waste removal. If the dumpster company finds hazardous waste that it didn’t approve for dumping, the company will return the waste to you, and you’ll likely face a fine for illegal dumping.

Lead exposure poses significant health risks, including neurological, developmental, and behavioral disorders, especially critical in young children and fetuses.

Disposing of old paint, bleach, oil, and fertilizer should be handled by a company that specializes in this kind of waste. Many private junk removal companies do not dispose of these items. Because these materials are hazardous to the environment and dangerous to handle or dispose of improperly, you should confirm with your local municipality about places to take hazardous materials for safe disposal.
