"He and his wife came out to my home on 9/30/17 and trimmed out three oak trees away from my home. The limbs had grown over the top on my home was were starting to scrape the roof some. He was very professional, took his time and made sure as he fell the branches that they were tied off well to keep from hitting the house. I would highly recommend his services to anyone that needs them."

"If you are looking to have stumps removed, look no further than Carolina Tree Service. I needed 11 stumps removed! Super Stump Man, Larry Wallace came out and he initially said, he would remove some of them that day and come back at a later date to remove the others. However, he removed all eleven stumps in record time! In my book, he is the superhero of stump removal, period."

"Exceptionally well! We agreed upon an 0830hrs start time and the crew arrived spot on, which pleased me greatly. Daniel Falkner Sr. (Owner) promptly suited up, climbed and topped the tree, with his crew performing all needed actions to cable the tree sections away from the home to a safe location expertly. They also removed a leaning, mature, tall Oak, directly positioned to fall on and destroy my new Well House, with equal professionalism and expertise. Seeing these men knew their trade, I had them also remove a mature Pine tree somewhat adjacent to the Poplars that were removed. Their price was fair as a well-coordinated, professional job, which I am very satisfied with! I am a retired General Building Contractor and would hire these men in a heartbeat as they professionally completed their portion of this job. I expect that when I hire anyone and am very pleased with Treemasters, to say the least. They did exactly what they said they would do on time, without issue, for the price they stated, and without stress or concern to me. In all, four large, mature trees were taken down safely and professionally within three hours (we agreed I was responsible for removing the timbers and brush). Even so, Treemasters gathered the trimmings into manageable piles which made my portion of this project easier. Thank you Treemasters for a professional job at a reasonable price!"

"LTE was very professional in their attitude and in completing the contracted job. They were quick efficient and cleaned up after themselves. If you didn't miss the tree - you wouldn't know they had been there. I would hire them again if the occasion arose."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Many gardeners charge an hourly rate for their services, and your total cost will depend on the amount of services and the experience of the gardener. Gardeners with basic experience charge between $20 and $30 per hour, while a more experienced gardener can charge as much as $60 to $88 per hour.

The cost of lawn mowing is about $125, which you might need on a weekly or biweekly basis. However, the cost of soil testing averages about $1,450, which should only be done every three to five years.

The best time to trim trees is in late fall through winter when the tree has slowed its growing for the year. Cold weather stops insects and fungal growth from attacking a new tree wound. Summer and fall are considered the worst times to trim trees, but it’s permissible in certain scenarios, such as tree disease, damaged branches, or small, aesthetic cuts.

A grafted tree is a tree grown by combining two trees. It takes expertise. Branches from grafted trees don’t grow strong roots. Save yourself the time and frustration by having an arborist help you with this advanced project.

You can often tell if a tree is grafted because it will have a noticeable line. Above the line, the bark will look different than it does below the line. It’s most common with fruit trees.

Late winter is ideal, but if you’re pruning apple trees in the spring, prune them as early as possible in the season. You want to ensure your tree is just creeping out of dormancy and hasn’t started pushing out new growth. If you prune your tree too late into spring, you generally won’t see results until the following year.

That said, there’s no pruning season for unhealthy growth. Remove dead, dying, or diseased branches as soon as you notice them, regardless of the time of year.

Yes, cutting a tree's roots can cause it to fall, particularly if major support roots are severed. In extreme cases, trimming roots can affect the tree's structure and stability. Many crucial roots are located just below the soil's surface. If you make severe cuts to roots more than 2 inches in diameter, you risk impacting the tree's water flow and its ability to withstand severe winds or storms. Even cutting roots less than half an inch in diameter under or outside the tree's canopy can cut off its water supply, causing it to decline, die, and eventually topple.
