"Terrific, we decided to go w/ Stoneberger because their sales representative spent time advising and guiding us through the options, the colors and styles of doors. She listened to what we thought we wanted and helped us find the right solution. No other sales rep we met with offered that customer service. She also followed up on time and was super easy to work with once we decided on specific doors. Installation also was on time, efficient and went very smoothly. We had one issue that arose b/c of the age of our house and Stoneberger addressed it quickly and beyond fairly. Highly recommend them."

"We were generally pleased with the work that was done with the attic fan installation. The job was big and messy. Because of my plaster ceiling the edges around the fan need to be repaired. I was not told about this and because of my lack of knowledge I was not aware that I would be left to repair the ceiling. Other than that they did a great job. I am looking to bring them back to install ceiling fans in the bedrooms."

"I had an old that was 18x12 ft.The deck has stairs from second story down to ground level. I called Great American log Homes after I had read good reviews here on AL. Mr Painter answered the call and was very enthusiastic about coming out to see what I wanted to get done. He came out that day. I asked him to give me estimates for three possibilities; replacing the deck with another wood deck of equal size ;a deck made out of synthetic (Trex) material; and lastly to price out making 2/3 the deck a covered screened in porch with the remainder 1/3 exposed (outside uncovered) deck made out of synthetic material. He had a price estimate for all three possiblities in just a few days. He came back to my house in person to review all three in detail. The price for the screened in porch was good and was within my budget so I decided to go with this. I got two other price quotes from other people, one was more expensive and one was about a 1000$ less. I was impressed with Mr Painters enthusiasm so I went with him. He got to work very soon after we agreed on all the details. He gave me a written contract with the details of the project prior to starting. He asked for 1/2 the money up front and the remainder after 100% project was completed.
As stated above he removed the old deck and stairs, replaced the floor of the deck with synthetic composite deck boards with tounge and groove tight fitting boards with no exposed nails. He replaced the old wood rails with attractive pcv pickets and rails that matched with the deck boards. The old stairs replaced with same material as deck surface. 2/3 of the old deck was turned into an enclosed screeened in porch with railings as in the outside portion of the deck. It had a large vaulted ceiling that had a ceiling fan and installed recessed lights. The inside of the porch ceiling was made of attractive wood paneling. the ouside ceiling was sealed and shingled to match exactly to the existing house. It looks like the screened in porch was built with the house and out of the same materials and no one would know that this was an add on project 7 years later! Small area had to have alluminun siding added and this was seemless with the house. Small amount of electrical work had to be done with moving/removing the existing outside light to a new spot for the floodlight and new electrical work for the ceiling fan and recessed lights. Mr Painter has a person that does electrical work and he was very good and took the time to ask how I wanted the new light box to work with the many existing switches that i have in my kitchen.
He got started very soon after we agreed on the details. The total project took less than 2 weeks and he seems like he does not start a project unless he is able to give it 100% to get it done asap.
Mr Painter is the sole owner of his company and oversees everything. He has a crew that works for him and had different people for different parts of the job. He used to build complete homes and therefore is familar with every aspect of construction/renovation/reconstruction. He is a senior/seasoned contractor that is very hands on, despite not doing all of the work himself and having workers, he does participate in the work. Mr Painter was on the job everyday and spoke to me everyday to let me know how thing were going and asking me questions to make sure everything was coming along the way I wanted them.  There were a few minor issues that came up during the day to day construction and I when i brought them up to Mr Painter he took care of them right away.
Mr Painter is a very hard working enthusiastic worker who takes pride on making the customer happy. He is very honest and realistic. He was very easy to talk too, he was very communicative with the progress of the project. I would recommend him highly. Even though he wasnt the cheapest, he was sooo easy to work with I will have him do more renovation projects for me.

"I contacted Ferguson Home Improvements to come out and help me get my house ready for sale.  The owner was fabulous and had a very attention to detail approach to fixing the walls and nail pops in the ceilings.  They left the house in pristine condition and everything looked brand new, it made me think twice about wanting to sell the house now that it is in such perfect condition.  He also hung some ceiling fans to replace the old ones.  When I move into my new home I will have Ferguson Home Improvements back to help me with my new projects what ever they are.  They are by far the best home improvement company I have ever dealt with.

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Attic and whole-house fans improve a home's energy efficiency and comfort. They ventilate hot air from the attic, which reduces peak cooling loads, lowers reliance on air conditioning, and decreases indoor temperatures. This improved air circulation and expedited heat exit helps lower cooling costs, balance moisture levels, and enhance overall natural airflow, contributing to the efficient operation of other home equipment.

If you think your fan needs to be oiled, the first thing that you have to do is cut the power to the fan. The best and safest way to do this is by flipping the circuit breaker that leads to that room.  Depending on the model of your fan, you may need to remove a cover. Look for a hole labeled oil. If there isn't one, check the manual or look for schematics online. Once located, use the recommended lubricant or spray.

Solar attic fans work in winter, but they serve a different purpose than they do in summer. During the colder months of the year, these fans improve air circulation within your attic, which helps remove condensation and moisture to prevent mold growth and protect your insulation and the structure of your home.

Your blower motor may make a loud sound if the bearings overheat or wear down as your system ages. You may also hear loud noises coming from your blower if it’s struggling to pull in air due to dirty or damaged ducts, closed or blocked vents, or a dirty air filter. Typically, this causes a loud whistling sound.

Yes, you can run an attic fan with the AC on. In fact, you don’t have a choice with a passive attic fan. Plus, when an attic fan draws out hot air from the attic, it helps regulate the temperature of your whole home, so your AC doesn't have to work as hard.
