"Brad did a great job with our retaining wall, hardscaping, and pavers. He came on time and followed through as we expected. We had a number of change orders and Brad took care of these without any problems. After completion of work he cleaned the site well. He met all our expectations and it was a pleasure to work with Brad and we would hire him again."

"Sean repaired my brick sidewalk and placed curbstone around my shrubs. He was a hard worker even on the hottest days and took a great deal of pride in his work and did an outstanding job. He was so pleasant and easy to talk with and always kept me aware of what he was doing to make sure he was meeting my expectations. Henry Farris, the company owner, kept in contact with Sean, sometimes stopping by, to make sure everything was done as we had discussed. Mr. Fariss was professional and exceptionally considerate. He showed respect and courtesy and was most knowledge as we discussed my needs. I can't rate this company and these individuals high enough and would wholeheartedly recommend them and their services."

"Excellent! Solid, beautiful paver patio installation with retainer wall. On budget; On time. Gregorio is first of all, kind. He listens well. He is a very hard worker who does the job right without any hint of taking shortcuts. He was thorough, and did not mind questions along the way. Based on our experience, we plan to use Gregorio again, and highly recommend!"

"

I needed Joe and his son Tony on two occasions over the past two months.  Each time, I was met with friendly, on time service and very fair pricing.  Joe is very conscientious about doing a good job, and I like the chemistry he and his son have.  They work well together, fast and efficient.

Joe takes great pride in his work.  Of course, I'm in a rush to get things done, but after a particularly rainy weekend, Joe completed half my job one day and recommended that I wait two more days to let the bricks dry out as the humidity and moisture in the bricks were making the job look presentable but not right.  Joe wanted to do it right, which I respect.

I would use Brick Solutions again and again, and I would have no problem referring them to anyone else.

Like brick, paver, and cobblestone driveways, resin driveways can have intricate patterns using different colors. Aggregates can be laid to create curves, shapes, letters, or numbers. When using custom colors or patterns, homeowners can expect to add an extra $2 to $6 per square foot to achieve their desired look.

When asphalt cures, it typically changes from a very dark black hue to a lighter, more matte gray color. Cured asphalt also won’t be tacky or sticky to the touch or emit any odors from the asphalt mix. Additionally, the surface of fully cured asphalt won’t deform under any pressure.

You should place a layer of thick landscaping fabric directly over the concrete slab and then a thin layer of leveling sand over that to protect the pavers from moisture. For border pavers, you should plan on locking them in place with polyurethane adhesive. This will prevent them from shifting under foot traffic.

Asphalt and tarmac are not the same thing. Traditional tarmac, short for tarmacadam, uses tar as a binder to hold crushed stone together. Asphalt uses bitumen—a byproduct of crude oil—to bind aggregate. Though tarmac was once a go-to for roads, asphalt has become the modern standard. And these days, most surfaces referred to as “tarmac” are actually asphalt. So, while the names may overlap, the key distinction lies in the binder—tar for tarmac and bitumen for asphalt.

Building a road on a slope requires careful planning and will normally require a drainage system underneath to prevent flooding and damage to the road over time. Your professional may lengthen your road to create switchbacks if the slope directly to your home is too steep, as there are regulations for maximum road slope. The drainage system will help prevent runoff from the higher side of the slope from damaging the asphalt or concrete. Keep in mind that building a road on a slope isn’t a good DIY project, as a lot can go wrong.
