"My wife and I shopped around for a company that specializes in epoxy/poly garage floor applications. This is not an inexpensive job, however, it is best left to a contractor. The Ultimate Garage Floor (UGF) estimate was only slightly higher than the other quotes. We believed they were the most experienced to do the work (300 floors each year). The crew came on time each day and everything was accomplished exactly as discussed during the writing of the estimate. We are extremely pleased with the experience. The finish on the floor makes the garage look like an extension of the house. The install crew was professional and there was no dust from the concrete grinding and no residual material left around after the job was completed in two days with one day in the middle due to drying time. UGF is a family business that uses commercial-grade material and truly cares about performance and customer satisfaction. I would recommend them to my closest friends."

"Highly recommend the company. Sam worked with me through the entire process which included an insurance claim. Very responsive, informative, and helpful. The company prioritized my needs with claims, materials, installation. The installation was professional, beautiful job and again they worked with me to fix last minute details. I will definitely only work with the company for any future flooring products. Extremely happy and satisfied customer!"

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Concrete coatings protect surfaces from wear, physical damage, abrasion, stains, spills, moisture, and weather. This protection extends the life of the concrete, adds durability, and can also improve aesthetics and safety.

To properly maintain an epoxy garage floor, regularly sweep up dirt and debris using a broom and dustpan or a vacuum cleaner. Mop with warm water and scrub away stains using a mild cleaning solution that's safe for the epoxy product you have installed. Don't use any soap-based or chemical cleaners, as these can cause the epoxy surface to deteriorate more rapidly.

Epoxy tends to be the most durable concrete finish, holding up on garage and shop floors for years. Epoxy seals the slab's surface, will run into any cracks and crevices, and can help to level the surface, so it tends to be a durable finish for most applications. The downside to epoxy is that it can be difficult to remove once applied.

Costs depend on floor size, finish type, and additional features like in-floor heating.

Evenly wetting a wood floor before applying a stain is called water popping. It raises the grain and opens the wood’s pores to absorb more stain. When done properly, it can make the stain look darker and deeper. However, it’s important to evenly wet the floor and let it dry before applying the stain.
