"We hired this land clearing company to clean and prepare our property, and they exceeded expectations from start to finish. Very professional, on time, and clearly knowledgeable. The work was done efficiently, safely, and exactly as promised. The site was left clean and ready for the next phase of construction. I highly recommend them to anyone needing reliable land clearing services."

"Excellent! They repaired the spigot. They also did general look around at other plumbing to make sure no issues.?They were able to come out right away so that the rental property was ready for new tenants. Everything went fine. The work looks great and now we can actually turn water on and off. Will use them gain for my plumbing issues at the property."

"HB Construction was quick to respond to my inquiry, asked pointed questions and got a very well priced estimate to me in record time. They came out over the weekend to complete a compacting and grading job fixing what a previous contractor had mismanaged, and the end result was both beautiful, executed well with zero wasted time. They maintained excellent communication with me during the rainy times and weren't afraid of working in some muddy areas. Highly recommended and will personally use again."

"The energy in our first conversation got me really anxious for Mad-Family Tree Service to come out to my property for a free estimate. When Jonathan Madison got here on Thursday 5/9/2013 at 4:30pm. he was very knowledgeable and gave me some pointers for my problem grass areas. Once Jonathan saw the broken pine, it became an urgency to get down before something/someone got injured. Jonathan had his crew out there Friday morning at 8:00am. the day after my free estimate. Which to me showed his care for my families safety.
Mad-Family Tree Service was referred to me from a friend of my family. I was nervous after i had another company tell me i would need a company with a bucket truck. I explained to Jonathan some of my financial issues and that i would have to wait if it was going to be over $800.00 to get the one broken pine tree. Jonathan showed concern not only for my property but for my safety as well. He re-assured me there would be no use for a bucket truck and everything will come down by roping piece by piece.
After completion Jonathan pointed out another pine tree that could possibly be a hazard. He understood my financial standing and did this tree for me out of good grace. Jonathan said  " I cant allow this tree to stand as a threat, since i have placed my eyes on it. I will get this down as long as you get these three business cards into the right hands."  I was so impressed with his business ethics and explained that i would do more than just pass out  three business cards.
I was very amazed at the passion that this company showed for the safety of their customers. I will always refer anyone who has any questions about their tree or landscaping ideas to Mad-Family Tree Service.I hope this information is useful to all who are trying to find a reliable Tree company who is flexible to your needs and wants."
Mr. Madison all smiles.

"It was good. There were certain things that weren't covered under the plan. I'm not sure if they cut the bushes down in the back around the fence. I had to pay extra for that. They should try get me to know the schedule so I know when they're coming and when they're not coming. Other than that, it takes time to get the workers together. I like Patrick and he's the owner. The thing in the firepit was included with the mulch but he said I had to pay for the materials."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

Yes. A metal detector is one of the quickest and easiest ways to find your septic tank. However, metal detectors can be too expensive (costing upward of $300 in some cases), and not everyone has a metal detector just lying around. If that’s the case for you, you can also take a long metal rod and poke it into the ground at regular intervals until you hit something—likely your septic tank lid.

The average cost for pool excavation is $2,500. This cost can range from $450 to $4,500, depending on the pool shape and size, time of year, and any need to move buried utilities.

When excavating for your pool, you might have to move existing utilities. You can expect to pay an additional $15 to $25 per linear foot to move gas lines. To move a septic system, it’ll cost an additional $2,000 to $20,000. A pool that is 10 feet by 12 feet averages $450 to excavate, and a 20-foot-by-40-foot pool averages $3,020.

Yes, most services include site leveling and foundation work. Confirm with your contractor for specifics.

The best way to protect tree roots is to avoid the roots entirely by excavating outside the root radius of the tree. For nearby projects, it’s a good idea to construct a temporary retaining wall. But that’s not always possible, depending on the project and the root system. In these cases, consider using alternative equipment like an auger to tunnel under the ground.

Remember, tree roots can damage nearby cement foundations as they grow. If a tree is close enough to interfere with large excavations, it may be better to remove the tree than risk future problems.

The best type of soil to build on is a mixture of sand and clay, known as loam soil. Loam soil has the best combination of these soil types to build a foundation on. The clay particles help with water retention, so it won’t erode like sandy soil might, and the sandy particles help with drainage, so you won’t see unsafe soil expansion or have an increased risk of leaks from water sitting against your foundation.
