"James did a fantastic job on our deck. We needed to install new posts, as the old ones were not to code and beginning to deteriorate. It was the hottest day of the summer and all new posts were installed by early afternoon, and the deck above was raised a few inches back into level. The next day, tongue and groove, and new lighting was installed below the joists. The place looks like a million bucks. James was efficient, pleasant, and knew what he was doing. However, it’s risky because the veneers on hollow core doors are so thin that sanding and restaining might cause damage to the doors. If you do move forward with this project, sand the doors lightly with a medium-grit sandpaper.

Though you can remove your interior door and paint it on a flat surface, doing so can be more time-consuming and labor-intensive.
