Although it was a 45 minute drive from our home, we felt it might be worth it, and it was. We made an appointment with John via email, arrived at 11:00, and spent just over an hour in his office. He evaluated the sterling silver set we had to sell and gave us what we felt was a very fair price. He'd given us an estimate on the value of the gold coins via email, and although the price of gold had fluctuated since he'd provided the quote, the final price was very, very close to the initial quote. We were happy to learn that they will also buy jewelry, as I have a few pieces I haven't worn in a very long time. We were very pleased with the entire experience and will definitely return to their company when we have gold or silver to sell, and we're happy to recommend them to our friends. "My family and I needed to add on wheelchair assessable bathroom for my grandfather who was retired in the military. We went through the VA who referred us to use Custom Designs’ services. The process took longer than expected. Although the finished product looked beautiful inside, a year later there are foundational issues. We now have a big crack in the wall and the door they installed leading outside with a deck is no longer closing all the way. This imposes a risk of anyone trying to break in. We’ve called them several times and have gotten no response. When we did get a response someone said they would come and check it out and never showed. We are looking to take legal action and filing a complaint with the better Business Bureau. It has been months now and still no response. Please do your research before hiring them as contractors because the customer service and quality of work is very poor and frustrating."
