"While they got the job done eventually and their customer services and techs were sweet, the company needs to be MUCH more crystal clear and upfront about a few things before they eagerly take payment. 1. This is not a company for novice clients as they only do work remotely and expect you to have all hardware properly installed before hand. So perhaps they should only sign up for software issues with clients like me who are hardware dummies. I had to struggle on my own for hours buying and trying to figure out where to plug items (again I am basically an old lady technophobe as they say). 2. They also don't make it clear that you are not scheduling an appt in the traditional sense but rather scheduling a position in a phone queue at say a time like 7 pm eastern. So you end up sitting by the phone at 7 pm for 45 minutes waiting for them to call (since apparently you are 10th in the queue). All this is fine, but it should be the first few things you bring up when someone works with you esp for 137 an hour as there are other local companies one can work with if they seek non remote service. In short, your people are great and sweet, but the upfront disclosure is lacking."

"I would shop around. I think I could have a shorter wait time between when they figured out what kind of repairs you need and when they actually approve the repairs and get somebody out there to do the installment. It's just a long lots of time in getting the job done."

"I hired Custom Services to mount a 65 inch TV on the wall at my mother's home. Damon Wright, the contractor who came out to mount the TV, did not mount it properly. I was not there, so I did not see it until I visited my mother. I took pictures and sent to him. He acknowledged that he needed to come back to fix it and agreed that he would return on Tuesday, Oct 25 or Wednesday, Oct 26. He did not show up, nor did he call to inform my mother that he was not coming. When I reached out to him, he said he had been really busy. He rescheduled the service call for Friday, Nov 4. He said he would be there between 10 - 2 pm. Once again, he never showed up, nor did he call. I have tried to contact him several times, but he has not responded. I would not recommend him to anyone as he has proven to be unreliable. **Contractor did come back, apologized and fixed the TV mounting."

Tv Mount Install questions, answered by experts

Yes, many services include wall mounting for TVs or projectors. Confirm with your installer.

In most cases, you should not put a TV on a fireplace mantel. The minimum width required to put a TV safely on a shelf or mantel is 10 inches, but pre-made mantels are usually too shallow, averaging at only seven inches deep. If you do choose to place a TV above a mantel, it should be mounted to the wall. However, do so cautiously as heat radiating from the fireplace could potentially cause damage to electronics.

Finding a professional to mount your television to the wall is a little challenging because no licenses exist for this type of work. You could ask friends or neighbors for recommendations. Check out online reviews, too. Typically, though, almost any local handyman can do the work. A local electronics store or the place where you bought the TV may have a recommendation for you. A local framer or drywall installer might do the work for you as well. If you need an outlet installed for the new TV, an electrician may do both items for you.

Yes, you can mount a TV on a brick wall as a DIY project. This process requires specific tools, such as a masonry drill and masonry bits, as a regular power drill is not sufficient for drilling into dense surfaces like brick. You will need to drill mounting holes directly into the bricks, not the mortar, to ensure there is enough support for the weight of the TV and its bracket. After drilling, use large plastic wall anchors or concrete screws to securely attach the TV mount.

Mounting a TV to a brick wall can be safe and secure if done correctly. However, it requires proper installation to ensure the TV is firmly attached and won't pose a risk of falling. Guarantee your television is safely secured by checking the manufacturer's weight limits of your TV mount and wall anchors. Examine the condition and quality of the brick wall to ensure it is capable of sustaining the TV.
