"I hired Dream Valley Landscaping to mow and maintain my yard. I'm highly impressed with their customer service, timeliness, motivation, and their enthusiasm to serve their customers. Within a two day time frame, they came and checked the project out, gave me an estimate, and they've mowed my grass. That's excellent and exceptional customer service. I've hired them to maintain my yard on a regular basis, and I highly recommend this company. Thank you for a job well done!"

"Andres and Fabiola came out to do the estimate and they were very thorough in proposing work to be done based on what I told them I wanted, which included cutting branches that were encroaching on the house, trimming out of control bushes around the house, debris cleanup, weeding, lawn mowing and trimming overgrown grass. All I can say is they did an excellent job and the grounds look great! I am extremely pleased and happy with the way it all turned out. I'm looking forward to having them work on other projects."

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

Each type of weed comes with its own control methods, but stopping the seed spread is the first step. Grazing, mowing, and hand pulling can slow the invasion. In some cases, selective herbicide is necessary to stop a persistent weed from overtaking an area.

Weeds may grow back when pulled out if the root is not completely removed. Invasive weeds can regrow from just a small portion of remaining root, so using a weed-pulling tool can help ensure you remove the entire root. Weeds may grow back faster if roots aren’t fully removed, and incomplete removal could cause them to spread as well.

Yes, weeds will grow through pea gravel but you can prevent this during the installation process. Install a weed barrier underneath pea gravel and swap it out every three years to keep weeds at bay.

Glyphosate and other non-selective herbicides can kill orchard grass, but they will also kill the surrounding plants. Also, not all areas allow the use of glyphosate due to its environmental impact—which the EPA describes as a "potential risk to terrestrial and aquatic plants and birds, and low toxicity to honeybees." Consider mechanical removal to target the plants specifically.

It’s best to pull weeds when the soil is wet, as it’s much easier. Wet soil is much softer than dry soil, making it easier to pull the entire weed up by the root. Also, since the soil is wet, the roots will let go of the soil and slide up with less resistance. Be careful when working on your wet garden, though, as wet soil is easier to compact, which can harm your plants.
