Frontpoint has an app that you can follow and coordinate with your system, including testing the alarms. It was fairly painless. We had to call Customer Support to help with a window breakage sensor and the question was answered correctly and helpfully."

As promised, Carmine called when he was 45 minutes away from our house so I had plenty of time to leave work and meet him.  He was friendly and extremely professional, even asking my permission before entering the house. He even asked me if he could call me "Steve", or would I prefer Mr. Carr. He and his worker Bill were clean and dressed nicely. They spread a blanket in front of the fireplace and cleaned up when they finished. They noticed a water stain on our living room ceiling and offered to check the flashing on the roof. They found a three inch hole and fixed it immediately, provided us with a 7 year warranty. Colonial was half the price of the other Chimney sweeps on Angie's List and it's hard for me to imagine anyone providing better service.

"Derrick came out on a Saturday to remove a dead animal from my chimney and clean the the flu. He was on time, courteous, and had the equipment to do the job. He finished the job in about an hour."

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

Decent light duty duct cleaning but would recommend another vendor for more thorough cleaning.

Did state there was a mold problem but when pressed the source was obviously not mold and they backed off original statement.

I've had ducts cleaned on various occasions. I would consider this cleaning to be light duty with questionable long term results.  The technique use for the cleaning was a straight vacuum hose from industrial/commercial vacuum of supply and return ducts. With brush cleaning of vents.  Translation. They stuffed a long, 4-6" diameter hose into each vent and shook it about.

The concern here is that the cleaning only picked up loose dust and debris within close proximity of the vent.  I have long horizontal duct runs that were not / could not be addressed using this style of cleaning. Previous cleanings provided by other vendors used the above technique along with blocking of vents and positioning of larger industrial/commercial vacuum in conjunction with compressed air to dislodge debris.  I could actually feel air flow from vents where the vacuum was positioned on either the supply or return side of the furnace. 

I had to specifically ask them to clean the main return. They stated that in older houses it isn't typically accessible so that usually do not address it.

At the end they sprayed some scent into the furnace.

PROS: Polite, prompt

CONS: Questionable results, a little careless (knocking things over, no booties for shoes, etc.)"

"Ronnie was very thorough looking at the chimneys and analyzing our needs to give us an accurate quote. He thoroughly talked through the quotes and allowed me to ask many questions. When he came to do the job, he brought a helper (Big John). The two guys completed the job in a few hours, stacked the excess bricks nicely, and cleaned up after themselves. When doing the chimney sweeping, Ronnie laid out large cloth tarps to catch any falling ash/dust/debris and used a highly sealed vacuum to clean up inside our house when he was done. He even attached fans to the top of the chimneys to draw a lot of the ash/dust up out of the chimney instead of letting it fall into our living room. I was dreading having our chimneys cleaned expecting it to be a huge dirty mess. Instead, Ronnie and John worked quickly and kept things nice and clean.
As an added bonus, both men nicely talked to my four year old son who wanted to know EVERYTHING that they were doing."
