Small jobs welcome

"Angie's List turned up Robin's Cleaning Service as a possible contractor for carpet cleaning. We went with her since she's independent and relatively local (Gretna). She came today, worked hard for over two hours to clean our Master BR and closet, lower staircase and roughly 1/4 of the lower living area, and did a lovely, attentive and thorough job for $225. Very pleasant--does carpets and other cleaning, painting, landscaping, mowing and pressure washing between morning and evening school bus driving for Gretna public schools (all three levels). Just a really sweet lady whom we enjoyed getting to know. If you have odd jobs, give her a chance. Robin Hall, 434-728-0529, is highly recommended! "She cleaned my windows and did a very thorough job! She dusted the blinds, wiped the windows, flipped them in to wash the back side, and the bottom part where the screen collects lots of dust. She wiped down the frame, too! My house is much brighter now! She uses a translator app to communicate since I don’t know Spanish, and she was very kind and focused. She worked hard and I highly recommend her!"

A few times per week, take a damp, soapy cloth and wipe down your faucet. Pay close attention to the spout, wiping it thoroughly to remove any mineral deposits. Also, once a month, wipe the cloth with a vinegar and water solution. After application, run your water to rinse the spout thoroughly, freeing any debris that might be hanging on.

Incorporating garage disinfection into your annual household cleaning routine is essential. Your garage constitutes a significant segment of your home and necessitates comparable attention to cleanliness, much like other living spaces. This becomes particularly vital since garages frequently remain overlooked and accumulate dirt and dust over time due to the tendency to fill up with old furniture, sporting equipment, boxes, and more.

When hiring a housekeeper, prioritize candidates with proven experience and solid references. Look for background checks and ask for proof of insurance or bonding to protect your home. Discuss their cleaning process, the supplies they use, and whether they have any specialized training for surfaces like marble or hardwood. These steps help ensure your housekeeper is both skilled and trustworthy.

While a biohazard cleanup sounds like a scary process, knowing what to expect can help ease your concerns and set you up for success. It’s good to note that more than one professional might be needed depending on your situation, but that will be determined during the assessment. What you can expect during a home biohazard cleanup is the following:

  • Assessment: The first step in this process is for a biohazard cleanup professional to assess the damage. They create a report that includes the biohazard safety level, the needed damage cleanup, and the time it should take to complete the project.

  • Setup: The cleanup professional prepares the site to prevent cross-contamination and reduce toxicity risk. This process can include tarping and creating decontamination zones.

  • Removal of surface contamination: Any contaminated materials are removed from the area, starting with large materials followed by small ones. The professional can assess any floor-related damage once everything is removed from the site.

  • Salvaging items: The biohazard cleanup professionals assess which items can be saved and which are contaminated beyond the point of saving. Those deemed unsafe will be disposed of immediately.

  • Waste disposal: The next step is carefully disposing of the hazardous waste. Your professional will place the contaminated items in specific containers to keep the contamination from spreading.

  • Disinfection: The house will be disinfected and odor-neutralized. Even more minor details, like light switches and bulbs, will be disinfected so that they do not recontaminate the area in the future.

  • Restoration: Once the decontamination is complete, the last step is to restore the home. This includes repairing the damage to flooring, walls, or even the home's foundation.

Absolutely! We prioritize using eco-friendly, non-toxic products to ensure your home's and the environment's safety.
