"Was given dates 6/15 - 6/19 and the work was completed by 6/17. Everything was done professionally the workers arrived by 8:30 each day and completed their days work by 5, and I am more than satisfied with the quality of the work and the professionalism. If I had any questions they were addressed within a reasonable amount of time. I received my quote for the work by email which was great I paid the first half of the payment up front on that same email, and when the work was complete I received an email and the remainder of the total cost was transacted on that email. I would recommend them highly!"

"I contacted N. Chasen and Son to replace our shutters. While working on the quote for the shutters via email, a wind storm tore some trim off our house, so I asked if they could include that as part of the work (as well as replacing some siding and a louver). They sent someone out the next week to check the shutter dimensions and determine what was needed for the trim, siding, and louver. They suggested repainting the louvers instead of replacing, and sent me a quote for all the work and to get it scheduled. On the scheduled date, Marcus was on time and very friendly. He walked me through everything they were going to do and explained that the shutters were on backorder and would be in later in the week, but he replaced the trim and painted one of the louvers (he needed a longer ladder for the second). He had to return a few times to finish the work, but he made sure it was all completed and the quality is fantastic. I'm very pleased with my experience with N. Chasen and Son and will definitely hire again when I have need."

"The painting was mostly adequately, but the repair and prep work was not what I expected. When the estimator came, I explained that we were not changing colors, but wanted to repair the cracks that were insufficiently or poorly repaired and painted over prior to our purchasing the house. After mostly finishing the Holtz painters indicated that the level of finishing the cracks was beyond their capabilities and I would need a “mudman” for the job. After calling the owner, they gave me a recommendation for someone to do a better job than Holtz had done. The bottom line is that I paid Holtz to repair and paint and now I have to get additional repairs and then will have to paint again. In addition, there were areas of trim that had holes that were not filled prior to painting. So, again, now if I want the job to look “professional”, I have to fill the holes myself and repaint. No one from the company followed up after the painting was complete to find out if the work was satisfactory, they just sent an invoice. It’s nice that Holtz can showcase all their high-end fancy work, but they need to get back to basics. We used to have a painter, (who is now deceased), that would not leave a room until it looked perfect and we never had to worry about clean up or protecting our furnishings. Maybe it’s just hard for me to accept the level of work that I got from Holtz after having one of the best painters ever, but if I wanted it to look like amateurs had done the work, I could have done it myself or just left it as it was. After we get the cracks properly repaired I intend to repaint it myself."
