"Short notice move, from apartment in Norfolk to Va Beach. Jeff was able to make it happen. Day of the move, Greg and Zack arrived on time, introduced themselves, surveyed the items to be moved and got started. Went real quick, one and a half hours after they arrived, they were leaving me in my new apartment. Quick, efficient service, they wrapped both TV's and handled everything with care. When moving yourself, you should consider the non-monetary costs, such as time spent and physical and mental stress. If you’re packing and moving every box on your own, or with the help of a few volunteers, you can expect the process to take several days or even weeks. While it’s a less expensive option than hiring full-service movers, keep in mind that the process will be much more difficult.

To pack mugs safely for a move, start by lining the bottom of your moving box with padded material like bubble wrap. Wrap each mug individually; for a snug fit, you can tuck the ends of the bubble wrap sheet inside the mug. Place the wrapped mugs in the box, using a box with slots for extra separation if available. The key to preventing breakage is to pack the box tightly enough that the mugs cannot shift during transit. Fill any empty gaps with additional packing material. However, be careful not to pack more than 10 mugs in one box, as it can become too heavy to carry safely. Finally, be sure to label the box as “fragile” to alert movers to handle it with care.

You should always transport the washer and dryer in an upright position. If they are turned on their sides to move, it can cause damage to the internal parts, such as the suspension and drums. Don’t attempt to move a washer or dryer to a new location if it’s sitting on its side.
