"If you are looking for an expert at a reasonable price, who is professional, polite and does what he says he will do call these folks. A few years ago I had someone else supposedly fix this type of stucco and it didn't last. These folks are excellent and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company and would use them again in a heart beat!"
"This was a very involved plaster repair and remediation job, in a very old house. Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore (we really searched) and he is an expert in his field. We needed to work around his schedule, because he is in demand in the tri-state area, so it took awhile to schedule the work to begin... but it was worth it."
"George and his crew did an outstanding job! They were prompt, courteous, professional and really seemed to enjoy their work. George came to meet with us to estimate the work and provided us a quote within 1 business day. From estimate to completion, the team completed the job in 5 business days. After day 1 we didn't like one of the colors we had chosen after seeing it on the walls. We talked with George about it and he was very accommodating, and just wanted to make sure we would be happy with the final results. This was a big change, but George only charged us for the cost of replacing the paint. Overall, we were extremely happy with the quality of the work and would highly recommend George's painting to others! "
"We selected this company based on the previous reviews. For the most part, everything went smoothly. They worked with us on pricing, but ended up charging an extra $100 for additional color selections. Alex provided prompt communication through email. It took about three days of work for two gentlemen to complete the work. The first day was the repair the drywall seams and beam, which looked so much better. The second and third days were spent painting the ceiling, walls, and trim. We had a small hiccup with the wall paint not matching the selection, but they were quick to make it right. They did not show up at the time they were expected, but did stay later into the evening to get the work done promptly. The room looks so much better."
"Quoted 1 price then pricing rises due to wood shortage beyond my control. Been trying to contact via phone and text about a leaking drain spout which was put on in 2 pieces vice 1 single piece which he sad they would replace due to the leak in the middle of the drain where pieces are connected, in addition to leaving old sod due to the digging and saying that it would be removed and seeding wherever the wood damaged the grass..none of these things were taken care of by them. When it came time to paint the path cover to match the siding he brought paint pallets I picked out the color in the pallet and it was 100% a different color. I took a piece of the siding to McCormick paint which they should have done and had to pay to get another 2 five gallons of paint.. I have been trying to reach Camilo via text and call to address the issues in addition they were to do an insection 2 months after and I'm getting no response. Its sad because the patio cover is quite nice but the lack of response is terrible."
"Majesty Homes did amazing work. They were priced fair and were very professional. They designed a beautiful deck and made some great suggestions. They communicated with me throughout the entire project and treated me with respect. I highly recommend them for any job."
"Feilx and crew are amazing! I've done multiple projects with them and have not been disappointed. They have painted both interior and exterior project as well as painted whole kitchen cabinets. Highly recommend using them!"
You can use small bits that are up to 3/8 inch in diameter, or larger bits that are 1/2 inch or more in diameter. Make sure the bits you use are coated with carbide or diamond; this information is usually visible on the package. You can also use hole saw bits to drill into stucco.
Stucco is very challenging to DIY, so it’s always best to leave the work to professional stucco contractors. The same recommendation applies to painting a stucco house, which should be left in the reliable hands of a professional exterior painter.
Inexperienced DIYers can make several critical mistakes during stucco application, such as:
Failing to apply sufficiently thick layers for longevity and water resistance
Uneven application
Uneven texture across the exterior
Mixing the stucco improperly, leaving a weak structure
Failing to texture properly in between coats, leading to cracking and chipping
Failing to repair damaged stucco can lead to significant problems. Cracks can grow and deepen, allowing water and moisture to get behind the stucco. This moisture intrusion can cause water damage, structural issues, and mold or mildew growth. Delaying repairs will likely cost more in the long run as the damage worsens, so it's best to repair your stucco as soon as you notice any signs of damage, such as cracks, holes, or discoloration.
The cost to replace the chimney crown or top is about $1,550 on average. The range varies widely depending on the size of the chimney, the materials used, accessibility, and the extent of the damage. If you suspect a problem with your chimney top, call a professional masonry contractor for an inspection.
Homeowners insurance may cover the cost of siding repair or replacement, but coverage depends on the cause of the damage. Most policies will cover damage from a covered event, such as a storm, wind, hail, fire, natural disaster, or other impact damage. Your policy might pay for the full or partial cost of the repair or replacement. However, damage resulting from age, general wear and tear, or neglect is typically not covered, and you should expect to pay for those repairs out of pocket. It is best to review your specific homeowners insurance policy for full details on what is covered, how to file a claim, and what documentation is required.
