"Once the old door was off, Randy discovered that some of the foundation blocks were crumbling and needed to be caulked. Also the blocks had not been filled which made the foundation walls unstable. This meant an adjustment to the scope of the job and the budget. Randy explained it all to me and we went ahead with the project. After he stabilized the foundation walls, he leveled them for proper installation of the door and installed the concrete pad. The door had to be ordered and when it came in Randy installed it and the result is beautiful. I couldn't be more pleased! Randy was very professional and a pleasure to work with. He kept me informed with his progress, answered all my questions and stayed within budget. I will hire him for other projects I have. I highly recommend him. "
"Metropolitan Restoration Center Inc came and picked it up. They had it for three or four weeks which was fine with me since I was in no rush to get it back. It was beautiful. I couldn't be more satisfied."
"There was no blockage, but found out that the original install of the vent system hand too many bends and this caused the sensor to go off. Had the original installer back and corrected the problem. "
"The existing steps were too narrow for the porch. We wanted to make the front porch more of a focal point and attempt to accentuate the modest midcentury design of the house. Joseph Walls of Brick Solutions, came to our house within a couple of days from out initial phone call. He was professional and extremely interested in our project even though it was not a large project. He was willing to work in our time schedule and he kept us informed during the entire process. My only regret is that I did not find him sooner, but will only use him in the future! "
"The installation and secondary service went fine; I do not think that there was anything that Bakers had done wrong or negligently. It was an act of the installation, difficult to determine whether an item manufactured else where would function as promised. I cannot fault Bakers for their service of the unit. I have had no problems with the air conditioner, the hot water heater or the thermostat, all of which Bakers installed in the last 4 years. "

A sump pump can be added to an existing basement. To do this, you will need to use a jackhammer or sledgehammer to break up the concrete and dig a pit. You will also need to create a hole in your basement wall to run the discharge pipe through.
Basements with persistent moisture problems or flooding shouldn’t be finished until the moisture issues have been fixed. In addition, if your foundation is cracked, you have unmitigated radon levels, or you have asbestos or lead pipes, remediate the underlying problem before finishing your basement. Turning a basement into living space before fixing these issues can lead to serious health risks or structural damage.
No, you can’t drain your sump pump into your home’s sewer system. In fact, it’s against the law in many places because dumping extra water into a municipal water system can disrupt or overwhelm the treatment process. And for similar reasons, you shouldn’t discharge a sump pump into your septic system, either.
Most people consider a French drain to be one of the most effective solutions for foundation leaks, but it’s not always a standalone solution. French drains will help keep water away from your foundation to reduce the risk of leaking and structural damage from soil expansion, but depending on your foundation type and location, you might need other systems or techniques—like soil gradation and gutter and leader installation—to resolve the underlying problem.
