"I have a large basement - ever since Hurricane Sandy I have had water leakage into the basement after a big rain - which continued to get worse. JES installed an internal drain system that is working great! The installation crew of Mizael, Cedrick, Dionte and Keenan did an excellent job of professionally installing the drain and cleaning up afterwards. They were very responsive to my questions and concerns. -- Wish I did this 5 years ago!"
"Good people to work with, professional in every way. Normally when we received 2" of rain water would start entering the basement. When we receive 3" the basement floor would be covered. Two days after installing their system our area received 8.5" of rain and our basement remained dry, not a drop got in the house. These guys know what they are doing."
"Slow draining tub, a toilet that just won't flush, and some back flow when using the dishwasher left us thinking we just had a major clog. To our surprise, it was a collapsed sewer line that needed to be replaced. While there was a 1 week wait due to the time of year and the demands they were expecting, we were more than happy to wait the week. Work went quickly and smoothly, and was far less intrusive than we anticipated. Their staff even wore shoe coverings when coming into the house! Only some minor clean up work was required once they left, which appeared to be an oversight when they cleaned up. Everything else was back to normal after they left and no problems since."

"Once the old door was off, Randy discovered that some of the foundation blocks were crumbling and needed to be caulked. Also the blocks had not been filled which made the foundation walls unstable. This meant an adjustment to the scope of the job and the budget. Randy explained it all to me and we went ahead with the project. After he stabilized the foundation walls, he leveled them for proper installation of the door and installed the concrete pad. The door had to be ordered and when it came in Randy installed it and the result is beautiful. I couldn't be more pleased! Randy was very professional and a pleasure to work with. He kept me informed with his progress, answered all my questions and stayed within budget. I will hire him for other projects I have. I highly recommend him. "
"The restoration on the two wooden chairs was excellent. I could not find any trace of the previous badly done repair. Mr. Delgado managed to undo the splintered condition. All scuffs were removed, the supports were fixed and the finish was matched perfectly. The upholstery job on the cushions was less satisfactory. Apparently Mr. Delgado farmed this work out to someone else who did not have such skill. The cushions were notched so that added to the difficulty of sewing a cover, but the piping was uneven, there was some puckering in the corners of the seat piece, it appeared that something like a bit of glue got on the fabric, and the zipper folds were uneven. The upholsterer did not have sufficient skill. The covers are good enough for the time being and no one will notice except me, but I will have another contractor do the cushions if they eventually need to be redone. "

"Ferguson Home Improvements did a fantastic job. All the work that needed to get done, was finished beyond my expectations. The workers were very friendly. The job took a little longer that expected, but Ferguson Home Improvements were not at fault, the weather played a major factor with the deck stain and door installation. At the time the work was getting done, we received a lot of rain and storms. All in all, I would highly recommend Ferguson Home Improvements. "
Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts
Snaking a drain can take as little as a few minutes for small, simple clogs, up to two hours or more for tough clogs located further down the drain line. For tougher clogs, a professional drain cleaner can likely get the job done much more quickly because they have the necessary tools and expertise. However, your drain cleaning pro might not be able to give you a firm time estimate until inspecting the clog and its surrounding plumbing.
It can take anywhere from half an hour to a few hours to fix a main line clog, depending on the cause and severity of it. The job should not take more than a day to complete. Keep in mind that the main line is not the same as your home’s sewer lines (which connect to the main line and run to your house). Your city is responsible for any clogs or damage to the main line itself.
Clogs in a sprinkler valve can be caused by various factors, including debris in the water supply, sediment buildup inside the valve, or damage to the diaphragm. Debris and sediment can accumulate over time, obstructing the valve's passages and impeding water flow. Damaged diaphragms may develop tears or holes, leading to blockages and affecting the valve's ability to open or close properly. Regular maintenance and cleaning can help prevent and address these issues, ensuring your sprinkler valve operates smoothly.
Drain pipes carry wastewater from sinks, toilets, showers, and other fixtures to the main sewer line. They’re typically located within the walls and floors and beneath a home’s foundation. Meanwhile, sewer pipes transport collected wastewater to a septic tank or a municipal sewer system.
Yes, frozen pipes can prevent a toilet from working correctly. If the pipes are frozen, water cannot flow, which means your toilet tank won't be able to refill after a flush. This will prevent the toilet from flushing again. Depending on which lines are frozen, the ice can also block the drain pipe, preventing water from flushing away.
As a temporary workaround, you can manually add water to the tank for each flush. To clear a frozen drain pipe, you can try filling the toilet bowl or tank with warm water and flushing to help thaw the ice. However, the best long-term solution is to unfreeze the pipes to get your toilet back in working order.
