"Sewell electric was outstanding to work with! The price quoted was well below others. The workmanship and professionalism of the technicians was excellent. They showed up on time, cleaned up after each task and clearly take pride in their work. They were courteous and considerate of our needs while they were installing our lighting. They took great pride in not causing any cosmetic damage during installation - even when it required cutting through tile to install the under-cabinet lights. Jason offered a couple of suggestions which we accepted and are very pleased we did! I would highly recommend Jason and his team to anyone needing high quality electrical work done at a very fair price."

"I bought my grandmother's home that was built in the 60's with absolutely no living room lighting. Needless to say Cole came over to give me a bid and was absolutely reasonable with it. Adding 6 lights and switches to my living room and a dining room light (the previous light was off center). After he finished installing my living room lights he addressed a concern of mine in my electrical panel which was that my dryer and AC wires were double tapped, causing them to overload the breaker anytime I ran both at the same time. Cole took care of me without any complaint. He is very respectful, knowledgeable, and cleans up after himself with taking proper precautions by covering my floors before beginning work. I will have him do ANY of my electrical work (again being an older home I need some more updating) at my house or I will recommend him to anyone that needs it."

"If I could have given more than 5 stars I would have! CJ and his team are Great at what they do! We felt comfortable with them in our home from start to finish. We had what we thought would be a simple repair turn into a little bit tricky type of a repair. I was always reassured that it wasn't TOO tricky and they would get the job done. They understood that we had to get this electrical problem fixed quickly! (If you have teenagers that have phone chargers, you can understand why this repair had to get done FAST!) They did just that, efficiently, and most importantly EFFECTIVELY! The cost was very reasonable and fair. Would recommend for SURE, and will be calling again for future projects! If you're looking for a FUN, HONEST, knowledgeable, QUICK yet thorough electrician, just call Hard Wire Electric!! You'll be back on the grid in no time!!"

"Chargepoint + EV charger installed. Industrial conduit that was so level and smooth looking curved perfectly. This job was totally a pain, but they made it look easy, and I know it was not. 50 amp breaker that they already brought with them. (They know what they are doing!) Correct wiring ran in correct shielding conduit everywhere. Electrical Box's and Plugs as I needed to do the job was already brought by Car Charging Pros. Perfect Level 2 fast ChargePoint Home Flex Electric Vehicle (EV)-Charger - NEMA 6-50 Plug Perfect Level 2 fast ChargePoint Home Flex Electric Vehicle (EV)-Charger - NEMA 14-50 Plug I did not want the ChargePoint Home 25 if I am investing this much in an electric car then I want the best. I have used ChargePoint already at work (have to pay for it there) So, I have already known about an account and how it gives you status without being right next to a car. You can shut off charge using the phone App. The ChargePoint NEMA they installed now charges faster than the work Chargepoint's that I am used to. This was not known in the beginning that they were able to do more than I ever expected! You will get your moneys worth from Car Charging Pros! Last note that nobody had ever said was how much does it cost to charge using your home power. My car charged soon as they finished. It charged for 1 hour and cost .20 cents! This was the normal high peak hour time costs. P.S. Chargepoint has all this kWh rate data automatic where you're installed and with your power provider, so it shows just like a gas pump on the app as it charges. It is not a separate bill or that, but it is just neat I know exactly what charging cost is. You can set it to charge only at the super cheap nighttime rates, yes, Chargepoint already knows what schedule is the super cheap with your power provider. Effortless setup that looks spectacular with super professional Industrial look."

"Craig was on time for our estimate. Completely diagnosed our problems and his price was better than expected. While others had proposed short cut questionable approaches to our repairs, Craig only suggested top quality , code compliant repairs. On Schedule, he showed up completely prepared to make our repairs and exceeded in quality and professionalism our expectations. No standing around, him hawing, burning the clock. His efficiency was outstanding. He really know his stuff! He even discovered additional problems he resolved at no extra cost and spent more time than he charged us. Had to give him a big tip from a very frugal miser. In my over 50 years of experience as an architect and contractor, I have met very few professionals who come up to Craig's Professionalism, Knowledge, Service and Value! I Recommend Craig to Everyone. Gary Courtright, West Valley City, Ut."

Ev Charger Installer questions, answered by experts

Upgrading your electrical system can save you money on your monthly utility bills by powering your home more efficiently. Electrification nonprofit Rewiring America estimates that a household could save $1,800 per year on energy bills by upgrading to a modern electric heat pump, switching to a heat pump for their water, installing solar panels on the roof, and converting to an electric vehicle.

Setting up utilities on a vacant property usually takes at least a few months, or between 6 weeks to 16 weeks. This process requires working with the local planning and zoning department, hiring a building contractor or engineer to design the utility layout, securing permits, laying the lines, and connecting the utilities.

Yes, electricians must be licensed, certified, and in most cases, insured. Licensing requirements vary by state and local municipality, but most U.S. municipalities require electricians to hold an electrical contractor’s license. It's always a good practice to confirm requirements with your local municipality. Even if licensing is not required in your area, hiring a licensed and experienced electrician often leads to a better end result.

A license is a legal requirement to operate a business and is necessary for pulling project permits. Certifications, on the other hand, are typically voluntary and demonstrate a certain level of expertise. In some cases, a certified electrician may send an apprentice or journeyman to perform the work, but they must operate under a primary electrician who holds the proper license.

Before hiring, you should verify the electrician's license, insurance coverage, and any third-party certifications. You can use Angi’s contractor licensing search to confirm a pro's license status. Additionally, businesses with the “Angi Approved” badge on our platform meet strict criteria, including having the required state and local licenses, passing a background check, and maintaining a high average rating.

Hire an electrician the same way you would an employee. Ask questions and look for a good fit. Streamline the process by using these questions to ask an electrician. It's also common to ask for a quote in writing. Don’t forget to provide all the project details to ensure there are no surprises or opportunities for added fees.

Charging your EV every night isn’t always necessary. Most EVs have sufficient range to cover daily commutes without needing a nightly charge, particularly if you have a Level 2 charger. Charging once every few days or as needed can prolong the battery’s lifespan.
