"Since it is hot, they had calls backed up from the week end and scheduled me for Wednesday. A serviceman was available on Tuesday, a day earlier, and called to see if the time was convenient (it was.) He checked the air conditioner, which seemed to be fine. As soon as he removed the bottom panel of the furnace he discovered the problem -- the one tab for the bottom panel and the corresponding tab on the furnace did not connect, making the bottom panel stick out just enough that the blower switch would not function. He bent the tabs back into proper position and verified the switch was fine. It took about 15 minutes."
