"I had a small (22 sq ft) sidewalk slab I needed replaced in an awkward part of my yard. Merrill came out the next day and took care of it quickly and professionally. It looks great"

"Tyler let me know when he was coming to my house. We looked at how I would like the drip system placed and he offered some great suggestions. He came back the next week and worked for three whole days! He did a wonderful job and even gave me a discount, although he should have taken the whole amount. I would highly recommend Tyler Waite. He is friendly, courteous, dependable, and very thorough! I am completely satisfied with his work!"

"Eddy was wonderful to work with. Raising the height of my block wall went well and high quality. I had about two hours of hard clean up after the workers left block chips and hardened mortar piles, paper, etc. I don't know if that is normal or not. I have recommended them to a neighbor who also has a block wall project. I talked to Eddy afterwards and he appologized and even offered to pay for my two hours work. Such integrity is rare. Of course I didn't accept but wanted him to just reteach his crew."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

A good slump height really depends on the project, but there is a use for nearly all slump levels. For example, low slumps are best in projects that require structure, such as curbs and roads. High slumps often require additional reinforcement, but they flow more freely into hard-to-reach spaces.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

Pros often use mudjacking or polyurethane foam injection to level a sunken concrete patio. Both methods lift the slab by filling voids beneath it. After properly compacting the soil beneath it to prevent future settling, the concrete may need to be removed and re-poured for severe sinking.

Most houses are expected to settle over time, but foundation sinking of more than a few inches or uneven sinking of more than an inch for every 20 feet is cause for concern. Any significant or uneven sinking should be assessed by a professional to determine the cause and perform any necessary repairs.

Mudjacking is your best bet for leveling concrete on a tighter budget. It’s less expensive than foam or grout mixture. For smaller, surface-level issues, you could also use a self-leveling compound, which creates an even surface over existing concrete—it’s a budget-friendly option suitable for DIY enthusiasts.
