"I called White on a Tuesday and was able to make arrangements for an inspection on a Wednesday. I live out of the area so after the inspection Andy spend 1 hour on a video call with my daughter (in person) and myself. He went over the home inspections with both of us. I could not have asked for a more through, helpful, exact inspection. Andy also said he would have the written report sent to my email by noon the next day. I looked at my email at noon and sure enough it was there."

"I had some cracks in the floor joists that I noticed in the basement and some of them were also warped. Before I repaired them I wanted to know what caused it and were the supports sound. They came in and inspected and showed me what they found and we came up with a plan to monitor and mitigate the beams. I would recommend these people for any structural issues you might have."

"Best service not only in taking the samples for our home but the quick follow up with the report. Ben was outstanding in educating me on all the possible irritants one may encounter within the home. Fortunately our home passed with no issues and I highly recommend them as they are the best!"

"As an agent luikart properties add value to me and my clients with giving the true market value. This helps to avoid any guesses on where the appraisal will come in at once under contract. He gives an accurate depiction of true value and square footage. I use him for all my homes before listing. Heâ s very responsive snd professional."

"Great company. Technician was exceptional in every way. Would have given 5 stars on customer service but Brent called to go over the report regarding before and after mold report but I wasn't home. He was traveling and said heâ d call next day. No call. Never did call me back."

Home Inspection questions, answered by experts

Yes, deck footings typically require an inspection before laying down concrete. While not all local building codes require footing inspection, proper placement ensures a safe and structurally sound deck. An inspector will verify that the deck can adequately hold what you put on top of it., and that the footings have been dug to the correct dimensions.

No, a standard home inspection includes the basics and does not offer lead paint testing. Professional lead paint inspectors need specific licenses to perform these inspections, which not all home inspectors have. If you suspect lead paint in the home you are about to purchase, you will need to pay separately to have that done. If the findings come back positive, you may be able to negotiate with the buyer to cover the cost of the removal.

Gaps in new construction are common and typically not a cause for concern. New homes experience settling during the first one to two years as the foundation adjusts and building materials acclimate. Monitor gaps during this period and address them once settling stabilizes to avoid repeated repairs.

Yes, mixing siding types will affect your home value, and in most cases, it will improve curb appeal and add to the value of your home. This is especially true if you get the benefit of the high-end appearance of brick or stone siding but save on siding costs by covering most of the exterior with more affordable vinyl or fiber cement.

Yes, shipping container homes have a very high resale value if they’ve been well maintained over the years. You can resell this home similar to how you’d resell any home. The value depends on the market and the condition. As a bonus, you can transport many container homes depending on the design, which makes them easier to sell if the local market is challenging.
