"Guillermo did a wonderful job on the exterior of my home...painting a brick wall, all the woodwork, including the garage door, front door and deck. He was very professional, pleasant and punctual. His crew of three arrived early each morning and let me know when they were finished for the day. I will definitely use Friends Painting again"

"Very happy with the finished projects. My only minor critique was the work taking longer than anticipated and the two work-men quite often showing up after 10 am. HOWEVER, in fairness, we did ADD work mid-way through the project, and both men were prepared to work later than 5 pm to 'catch up' and get the project finished by the overall deadline. As for customer service: my emails were sometimes not responded to, although mostly they were. A slight discrepancy in the final cost was never fully addressed, and I felt somewhat dismissed. It wasn't much, so I paid it, and the two men, Jose and Barach did some additional work we did not ask for - to give the work a cleaner look (such as putting in a seal around our kitchen sink), so ultimately, I let it go. I would however have appreciated understanding where the additional cost came from, that was all, instead of feeling dismissed and/or it never really being fully explained. Overall though, I would hire this company again. Our home with treated with respect, the mess was cleaned up behind them, and the four individuals we worked with - from the work-men: Jose and Barach - to the administrative/financial side: Ross and Jay - were always friendly and professional. Thank you."

"I had very old kitchen and bathroom cabinets with 40 years of paint with runs, drips, chips and scratches. I chose DiMark to update and refinish the cabinets. The custom trim and handles were added giving the flat panel doors a modern and classy look, but the finish is what is most impressive. I now have a brand new kitchen that is far above what I expected. It was such a pleasure to work with a company and people with amazing customer care and service. I love my new kitchen and baths. Work with Dimark they are great."

Over 20 years of home renovating.Roofing, painting, kitchen/bath remodel, fencing, tile, installing windows and doors. I’ve done it all. I can bring your ideas to life. Have a problem area or you just want to make life easier I’m your girl. I bought my first house when I was 21 years old, it was an 1950’s rambler/ HUD home that had been neglected for years. I sanded and refinished the hardwood floors. Replaced plumbing, windows and light fixtures. I’m enthusiastic and friendly. Easy to work with and I ask lots of questions. I take my time to plan things out so construction can go smoothly. Want to just get a fresh coat of paint on the walls but you don’t know what color or how to start. I can help. I can teach you how to DIY or I can transform your room for you. I have experience in decorating and interior design. As a licensed Realtor I have walked through many homes brand new to centuries old. I Love houses and I can turn your house into the dream home you love.

Kitchen Cabinet Refacing questions, answered by experts

Painting kitchen cabinets might be the thing you need to give your kitchen a fresh new look. While it takes a fair bit of time and effort, it can save you money and refresh your whole space. But if you’re unhappy with the style of cabinets, it’s best to replace them.

By using high-quality materials and finishes that endure daily wear.

If you don't sand your cabinets, the new paint or stain won’t adhere properly, impacting the final finish and leading to peeling, chipping, or a sloppy result that won't stand the test of time. Sanding removes the old finish, smooths imperfections, and gives the new coat something to grip. Without it, you will waste your time, money, and effort.

On average, a kitchen remodel costs around $27,000, with a typical price range between $14,700 and $41,400. However, the total cost can vary significantly based on the project's scope, material quality, geographic location, and whether you change the kitchen's layout.

A small-scale remodel can cost between $3,500 and $20,000. This may include painting walls, refacing or refinishing cabinets, upgrading one or two appliances, and installing a new sink and faucet.

A large-scale, high-end remodel that overhauls the entire kitchen by moving walls, changing plumbing and electrical, and installing all new components can cost from $70,000 to $130,000 or more.

If you're looking for ways to save money on custom cabinets, there are a few ways to cut costs without sacrificing beauty. For starters, comparing door styles to choose the most cost-effective option is a great way to save money on the overall project.

In addition, choosing a common wood species versus an exotic one will lower the price. Woods like oak and hickory are often more affordable wood choices, and the same goes for knobs, pulls, and other finishes where picking a commonly available style can reduce costs.
