And when we weren’t 100% satisfied with cleanup and the smoothness/flatness of the concrete subfloor Kyle got the sub back out to finish the job and cleaned up himself. "Kent Nickell Construction are amazing to work with! As a single mom, I was overwhelmed with finding a builder I felt I could trust and that wouldn’t charge extra on things. They were very clear with cost and gave me a cost guide and budget that was easy to follow with the sub-contractors they were working with. Any time I had a question they took the time to explain things out so that I could understand. They took me aside and encouraged me to do plans for a future basement so that when I finished it I would have the plans all figured out, and then priced out the home with and without the basement so I could make a decision from the get go. I didn’t think I would be able to do a basement rental right away, but with them taking the time going over the pros and cons, it was an easy decision to put a rental in right away to help me with mortgage costs and didn’t cost me a ton more. I built in 2023, one of Utahs wettest years we had in a while, and they went above and beyond with making sure that my basement would be protected. All the while keeping me informed. They knew my needs would be different than a double income family and I felt like they made sure any choices I made would benefit me in the long run and not break my budget. Honestly working with them I felt like I was working with family. They cared about things like if I would have had my dad or brothers build a home for me.
