"Louis installed a new dishwasher and later a new toilet. We were very happy with his work. He is friendly, on time , efficient and even went shopping for a hose connection we were missing. I would trust him with any job."

"I am blown away by the quality and price I paid for Juan and Leon and their crew to xeriscape my front yard. They did the entire front yard project in just 2 days. That included removing all the sod, tying off existing sprinkler lines, laying new drip lines and weed cloth, placing all the rock and plants just as I had designed it. They are courteous, friendly and extremely hard working. I am so impressed with the integrity of this company. I gave Juan an initial deposit in February and he didn't cash the check until they started the project on April 20. This company is simply amazing in all areas; work ethic, promptness, quality and dedication. They take pride in their work and their reputation. I plan to hire them again for a fire pit area in my backyard. Hire them, you won't be disappointed!"

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Costs range from $500 to $5,000, depending on fire alarms, sprinklers, and safety equipment.

Wood-burning fireplaces typically make homeowners insurance more expensive, simply because they increase the risk for a fire in your home. Gas and electric inserts are less likely to bring up your insurance rates, but you should always speak with your agent to understand how installing any type of fireplace will affect your premiums.

Attics often contain a mix of insulation, electrical wiring, and other materials that can pose fire risks. That’s why furnaces should be installed in the attic with proper insulation and clearance from combustible materials. Additionally, the furnace should be equipped with proper ventilation and heat shields to prevent the buildup of excessive heat in the attic space. Regular inspections and maintenance are also crucial to identify and address any potential fire hazards.

Yes, you need to leave your chimney damper open when burning a creosote log so that smoke and other debris doesn’t waft into your house as it’s burning. You’ll need to make sure your damper is fully open, even when the log continues to smoke, until it’s completely out and cold.

Generally, an oil furnace is considered safer than a gas furnace for several reasons. While both types of furnaces can produce carbon monoxide, a leak in an oil furnace is easier to detect due to the smell. Oil furnaces also don't connect to a gas pipeline, which reduces the chance of a fuel leak. Most importantly, heating oil is not combustible, whereas natural gas is highly flammable. This means there is a much lower risk of combustion or explosion with an oil furnace. However, an oil furnace can still pose a fire hazard if it tips over.
