"17 windows installed in one day by contractors that were very professional. They worked in the cold rain and tired to not have windows open for too long."
"Everything went great. The owner, Jim, came out the same day we called and gave us the bid. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He let us ask any question no matter how simple it may have been. His bid was right in line with others we received, but ultimately we felt that the quality and service we would receive from Accent was better. Dee was our installer and he did a great job. He was quick but very thorough. Even though we had 14 windows to replace he nearly finished in one day. He even made the extra effort to come back the next day for 1 hour to finish the last bits because he wanted to do a good job and there wasn't enough light on the first day to finish. He even let our 4 year old son follow him around the house which may have been annoying for some people, but he was very kind about it. Overall, we absolutely love our windows. Our home is quieter and more comfortable and we can actually SEE out of our windows. We are very happy with our purchase and highly recommend Accent Windows. "

"Renewal by Andersen of Wyoming did an incredible job with installing windows in our home. Thank you to the team who did the install and to the company for creating these exceptional windows."
"David and his crew Ives, Victor, and Joseph did a fantastic job stabilizing our foundation. They were focused on the job and came prepared to work. They finished the job quickly and professionally. They communicated with us throughout the entire process. Once they got into the project they were able to identify areas that didn't require the repairs and David quickly explained a new plan and then, with my permission, adjusted the plan which saved us several thousand dollars. I appreciated their honesty and integrity. Thank you Groundworks for training and hiring quality people.

"The Debella team did an amazing job. Dustin came out after the windows were installed and made sure we were happy. Dustin made us feel like we are family. I recommend Dustin and his team."
"Clay came by to give me an estimate, but did my multiple small jobs right then. Iâ ve got some temporary mobility issues and these things have bothered me incessantly. All fixed within the hour at a very reasonable rate. He was personable and liked my dogs! All said and done, it was a great experience. I will definitely use him again."

The material around a window is simply called the window frame, but the individual pieces also have different names. The top portion of the frame is called the head, the side pieces are called jambs, and the bottom portion is called the sill. If you have multiple windows next to each other, you’ll also have a mullion, which is the frame piece that separates the individual windows. Windows stacked on top of each other are separated by a horizontal frame piece, which is called a transom.
When comparing impact windows vs. hurricane shutters, it’s important to consider the protection and installation details to determine the right choice for you. For constant protection against storms and flying debris, impact windows are a better option than hurricane shutters, especially if you don’t want to install shutters that will change the look of your house. However, impact windows are more costly than hurricane shutters. If you want a budget-friendly option that’s still protective against storms, hurricane shutters are a solid option.
Sometimes, you can buy windows directly from the manufacturer, and it may be cheaper than buying through a third party or wholesaler. Manufacturers may also offer more options, including custom shapes and features, or better warranties if you purchase through them directly.
However, some companies limit the ability to buy from them, especially if you need standard pre-fabricated sizes, so don’t expect this service from every manufacturer.
Before you replace your windows, check your home warranty. Many home warranties don’t cover windows at all, while some have specific clauses about what they will and will not cover and what might void the warranty. If you have any questions, reach out to your insurance specialist, and never make assumptions.
Glass block windows are energy-efficient because they are much thicker than traditional glass panes, making them better insulators. They are sealed airtight, which prevents drafts and stops warm or cool air from escaping, helping to save money on heating and cooling bills. Unlike traditional windows that can be opened and closed, sealed glass block windows eliminate the potential for air leaks. For proven efficiency, look for options that are Energy Star rated. The cost for energy-efficient glass block windows is typically around $400 per window, which may be higher than standard windows.
