"Mick at Signature Marble & Granite was marvelous. He was always available for any question, no matter how trivial. Mick always made us feel like we were important to the company and his priorities in customer service allowed us to trust him with no disappointments. This company was always on time and never left us waiting. When the work was being done, the professionals were up against a huge obstacle trying to work granite countertops around new cabinets that were crooked and installed with no regard by another company unaffiliated to Signature. Signature Marble & Granite managed to get it to work which was a miracle in itself. This company is simply magic. I would recommend Signature Marble & Granite to anyone in a heartbeat. From the best customer service I have ever experienced to product quality and genius workmanship, I can attest to the fact that this company has no flaws."

"Incredible. Chris did what no one else I looked for could—he repaired a very old garage that had been knocked off its footing By a big truck. Everyone else said they couldn’t fix it and would have to build a new one. When Chris started, I couldn’t open the electronic garage door and it was leaning so far that I couldn’t rebuild my gate that had had to be removed after the damage to the garage. Chris gave me a good rate and completed the project in a timely manner. Good thing, too, because the earthquake happened only days later. I think it might not have stood without the fortification that Chris did. I came home, found the cleanup spotless, and my two house doors that I had shown him for a future project already repaired. Chris is generous and a man of his word—a person I immediately knew I could trust. My experience with Chris and the quality of his worked have validated that trust."

"I would highly recommend the services and craftmanship of Victor if you are considering remodeling your bathroom. Please allow me to share how different stages of the engagement process that really impressed us. Introduction Stage. Victor responded to my general inquiry in less than 48-hours. He was able to answer my general questions, and made time within the week to come to my home to assess my bathroom and listen to what we had envisioned for our new bathroom. Within 3-days, Victor was able to provide not only a competitive bid, but assured us that we could get on his schedule within the following week. We needed the bathroom to be completed for guests within 1-month. Work Stage. Victor kept to his word on when he would start and the days that he would be coming throughout the week to work on the project. He provided photos and material samples to help us visualize what we wanted for the new bathroom. He work tirelessly on the project, and helped resolve some unknown installation, plumbing and drywall issues that needed to be fixed. Victor has the experience to resolve many issues as you are designing and building your new bathroom. Our home was built in the late 1980’s – so we needed to make sure older architectural and building construction were not going to impact our new bathroom. Victor always had an answer that he was able to fix. Final Review. Even though Victor had other construction projects going on simultaneously, he managed our project with that same level of urgency. We found Victor to be transparent, honest, respectful of our home, and especially patient when we had many questions. I would highly recommend Victor for your next home renovation project. Victor took the time at the end to complete touch-up work and resolve issues to assure we were 100% satisfied with his service. We were able to have the bathroom completed on time for our guests. ..."

Granite Restoration questions, answered by experts

The restoration process often involves a team of professionals to address various types of damage. Depending on the situation, this can include general contractors, electricians, plumbers, mold remediation experts, and specialists in smoke and water damage.

Buffing is a less expensive and less time-consuming alternative to other floor repair techniques, but it’s only ideal for removing surface-level scratches and damages. Floor-buffing machines work to gently smooth out the floor’s top layer rather than removing it the way that sanding does.

This process is ideal for gently worn floors, but it won’t have the desired impact on floors with severe damage. On the other hand, sanding fully strips the floor’s top layer so damages beneath the surface are accessible to remove or repair. Since the process is more involved, it requires more time, tools, and experience to achieve the best possible results.

In many cases, it’s worth it to restore stone. Stone restoration generally costs less than replacing the stone entirely, helping to save on the cost of your project while still giving your home’s stone a polished appearance. However, if your stone is very cracked or crumbling to the point of compromising the structural integrity of your home, you may want to consider replacing it. Stone flooring costs range from $6 to $20 per square foot on average.

You can’t change the color of the stone, but you can update granite countertops without replacing them by painting them. Because granite is a porous material, you’ll want to seal them first before painting them so that the paint doesn’t hurt the surface. This is important because you don’t want to devalue your counters by damaging the original surface; even if you don’t like the color now, you or a new homeowner may want to remove the paint someday and return them to their original color. You can also cover them with

Yes, it is possible to buff and polish your floors yourself, particularly for smaller areas. However, this is considered an intermediate-level DIY project that is time-consuming and requires patience and know-how. The process involves cleaning the floors before applying a polish, which can be done manually with a cloth or with a rented or purchased floor buffer and buffing solution. If not done correctly, you risk leaving burn-like marks, puddles, or an uneven finish, which could lead to costly repairs. For larger spaces or to ensure a professional result, hiring a professional is often worthwhile. They use industrial equipment to complete the job faster, providing a deep clean and a more even, polished finish without damaging your floors.
