I was a little hesitant thinking of the adage "you get what you pay for", but the results were so much better than what the other landscapers were offering. Alex conceived the layout concept, and we discussed what could be added or rearranged. During the installation he would be constantly checking in and tweaking the layout with me. That is one of the best parts, Alex was continuing to "evolve" the concept and the results came out much better in the end. The crew was extremely hard working even in the rain and snow. They would wait out the storm and go right back to work. Even after the snow they would shovel out the area they were working on and get back at it. The crew leader, Alfonzo, was always courteous and willing to answer questions. He would give me updates on the progress and kept me informed of what to expect that day."

"I called around September/October and Bill promptly set up a meeting for an estimate on the carport to garage conversion and the other work mentioned above. He was very courteous and patient with me when I had questions regarding how all of the work was going to get done.  Bill was very thorough when looking at the garage structure and even looked at the attic and roof to make sure he didn't miss anything on the estimate.  I believe it only took a couple of days to get my estimate via email.  I did get two others, but one company never contacted me even when I checked to make sure it wasn't in my junk folder and the other estimate was very high. Overall, I felt the most comfortable with Bill because he was the most thorough and explained everything in detail from beginning to finish. During the process, he made sure to get the proper engineering and city permits required by the city for this undertaking. We both didn't take into consideration the side top and bottom windows of house needed to have fireproof protection until we got to this point.  Because it was missed on the estimate, Bill worked something out that was agreeable for the both of us regarding the labor and materials to cover the side windows.  The top window was filled in with sheetrock and painted.  They did a great job taking care not to get dust all over the place.  When I noticed some spots that could use a touch-up (I have young eyes and have great attention to detail which can be annoying to others at times), I let Bill know and he promptly made sure that it was fixed to my satisfaction.  The bottom window well was left unfinished until my husband and I decide what kind of closet we want.  We will be hiring Bill for that job as well.  When I noticed a draft from this window well, I called Bill to see if we could do something about it until the cabinet got done.  Bill came by that same night and filled the window in with plastic sheeting to take care of the draft.  I was quite impressed by this gesture because it was a Friday and who wants to come back to work on a Friday night?  Subs were hired for the other jobs and overall I was impressed with their quality of work and professionalism.  My only hang-up with a few of them was that they didn't clean up as well as I would have liked for them to have done and I let Bill know about it.
Bill was always prompt in getting back to us if we had any questions and communicated to us what was going to happen at every step of the project.  I was confident that if I wasn't satisfied any way, I knew Bill would fix it.  I work an odd shift which required me to sleep in at times while Bill worked and he did his best in trying to keep the noise level down to the best of his ability.  
Our first big project was a positive one and we will be using Bill in the future for all our home improvement needs and referring him to our friends should they ever need a contractor.
